Congratulations to all of our Grade 5 students for moving on to the next big step in their lives...Middle School!

On June 9, the Grade 5 Moving Up Ceremony took place in our AIS Vienna Theater. This marks our Grade 5 students’ transition from Elementary to Middle School. Throughout the ceremony our young learners put on special strings and choral performances to commemorate the day.

The Class of 2026 officially graduated on June 6, celebrating AISV’s 66th Commencement Ceremony. Bringing our community together at the historic Palais Liechtenstein to honor these graduates was an unforgettable highlight. We owe a debt of gratitude to the mentors, families, and faculty who inspired our students to pursue their chosen futures with courage, curiosity, and joy.

Our Grade 8 students celebrated the end of their Middle School journey at the 8th Grade Dance on Wednesday, June 3.

While it was cool and rainy outside, the energy indoors was fantastic, filled with food, a playlist full of surprises, and lots of celebration! Thank you to the Grade 8 teachers, parents, and volunteers who worked hard to make this wonderful evening such a success.

On June 1 and 2, our HS Sports Banquet and our MS Sports Awards took place in the Mike Maloy Gym.

Certificates for all athletes as well as team MVP and MIP awards were given, but the highlights of each night were the announcements of our major award winners. Check out our Knights to Remember page for the complete list of our MS and HS winners, along with award descriptions.

Our HS Girls Softball team did something that no other AISV High School team has done since 2011 - win an overall ISST Championship!

The girls won the championship at the International School of Brussels by going 6-0 in their round robin tournament. Their hitting was unmatched with 9 total home runs and a slugging percentage of over 800. Some great individual performances lead to Emma DeForest, Charlotte Egger and Lina DeForest making the All-Tournament Team.

This historic win capped off an incredible weekend for our entire athletic program. Congratulations to all of our student athletes and coaches who represented AIS Vienna so well at all the end of season events. We had teams travel to locations all around Europe, while we also hosted the ISST MS Girls Softball Championships here on campus. See below for all of the tournament results.

- MS Girls Softball - 2nd place
- MS Girls Volleyball - 8th place
- Boys A Volleyball - 3rd place
- Varsity Girls Softball - Champions
- Varsity Boys Baseball - 5th Place and Sportsmanship Award
- Varsity Tennis - 6th Place with one medal winner
- MS and HS Track & Field - 6th Place for HS with 3 medal winners, MS Boys 6th place and MS Girls 5th place with 3 medal winners and one ISST record holder

The AISV Buddy Bench has received a wonderful makeover funded by the Annual Fund, featuring a vibrant new sign created by our very own ES Student Council!

First established in 2024 through the collaborative efforts of our Elementary School Counselor, Ms. Guliadis, and the ES Student Council, this special spot is a place where students can sit if they are looking for a friend to play with at recess. This year, our student leaders took complete ownership of the redesign. After brainstorming different themes, they created a survey for our Grade 4 and Grade 5 students to vote on their favorite choice. The winning theme was "Friendships are Blooming," and the students did an amazing job bringing it to life with a beautiful floral pattern!

We are incredibly proud of our student leaders for their creativity and care for their peers, and deeply grateful to our Annual Fund donors for making this meaningful upgrade possible.
