Join me for breakfast, Adelaide!

‘Continental Breakfast’ is a 3 hour knitting workshop for new and experienced knitters to learn how to knit and purl Continental and Combination Style, over some lovely fresh pastries, fruit and even lovelier conversation.

I first learnt “English style” that is, moving the yarn with my right hand, when I was 5. About 15 years later I switched to Continental (well, Combination but I didn’t know what that was at the time… but I’ll illuminate you in class).

I often get knitters along to this class because
🧶 they want to knit faster
🧶 they have had an injury or chronic condition and need to use their hands differently to knit
🧶 they want to knit in two colours with two hands (eg Stranded colourwork/ Fair Isle)

This class is also suitable for complete beginners! Knitters around the world have started with this method for centuries, and you can too!

The workshop deets:
9:30am- 12:30pm Sat 25 July
Intersection Traders, 258 Pultney St, Adelaide

Bookings essential- head to my website dearpru.com

Will you be there?

Spendigo is coming up… only one month… I’m looking forward to visiting my favourite indie dyers and purveyors of fine Australian merino, Polwarth and Finn wool, but I’m also keen to share some skills!

I’ll be running two of my most popular workshops at Emporium Creative Hub just 6 mins from the Showgrounds on Sat 18 July: Continental Breakfast and Fit Knits. They are both “all levels” classes. And they will be catered.

You can find the booking links on my website www.dearpru.com

I’m also having a meet up on Friday 17 July at the Sheep Show for the Bread & Jam Jumper KAL I’m running with Morris and Sons - it starts on June 24 with an online cast on party- it’s not too late to join us!

Apparently my shadow is having a fiesta and I’m not invited…

I was trying to capture some photos of my latest FO: a Bread & Jam Beanie in Morris and Sons Estate 10 ply as a wearable swatch in prep for the Bread & Jam Jumper KAL which kicks off on June 24.

I went with a completely different palate to the original… I’m having a green moment. I just want to wear green and be surrounded by green…

The greens i chose:
MC: Kelly Green
CC1: Sprout
CC2: Limelight

You can of course buy the PDF pattern for the jumper and beanie on my website, on Ravelry, or in your local LYS and stash dive for the yarn OR you can buy a kit (pattern + yarn) for the sweater at Morris & Sons… you can also buy my patterns instore of via their website.

So… have I convinced you to cast on a Bread & Jam beanie?

Next destination? Brisbane!

I’m headed back to The Yarn Bowl in Banyo, Queensland in July!

I’m kicking off the weekend at with a full day “zero to hero” Fair Isle workshop. There’s only one ticket left to that.

Then on Sunday, I’m teaching an intro to lace knitting class “Let’s Try Lace” in the morning, followed by Fit Knits in the afternoon. Fit Knits is sold out, but there’s still tickets available to the Lace workshop…for now!
