Students spent their lunchtime planning moves, solving problems and challenging their friends. It was wonderful to see so much concentration, persistence and discussion around the boards.

♟️ Introducing Chess Club! ♟️

We are excited to launch our new Chess Club, providing students with another opportunity to challenge themselves, think strategically, and develop valuable lifelong skills.

Chess is much more than a game. It encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, concentration, planning, and resilience, skills that support success across all areas of learning. Through regular participation, students learn to analyse situations, consider multiple outcomes, and make informed decisions.

As a school committed to fostering academic excellence and a culture of curiosity, we are proud to offer enriching opportunities that extend learning beyond the classroom. Chess Club is another way we support students in becoming confident, capable, and independent thinkers.

We look forward to seeing our students develop their skills, build friendships, and enjoy the challenge of this timeless game.

This morning our students shared bingo, baked treats and beautiful conversations with members of our local community. It was so special to see different generations connecting, laughing together and sharing what makes Dillbadin such a caring place to belong.
