🏉 A Fantastic Day of AFLQ Schools Football! 🏉

Marymount Primary School's boys and girls teams proudly represented our school at the first AFLQ Schools competition for 2026 last week.

With many students playing Aussie Rules football for the very first time, the enthusiasm, teamwork and sportsmanship on display throughout the day were outstanding.

⭐ Boys: 2 wins, 1 loss
⭐ Girls: Undefeated with 3 straight wins

We are incredibly proud of all students for the way they represented Marymount both on and off the field.

A big thank you to Mr Pearson, Mr Larkin, Mrs Landrigan and Mr Steele for their support and organisation throughout the day.

📖 Year 4 have been exploring the Bible and developing their skills in finding and understanding Bible references.

Throughout this unit, students have been learning how to locate books, people, places and events within the Bible, while also discovering the different books and text types found in both the Old and New Testaments.

Working collaboratively with their classmates, our Year 4 students have enjoyed putting their new skills into practice and deepening their understanding of God's Word. We are so proud of their enthusiasm, teamwork and growing confidence throughout this learning journey! ✨🙏

Our Year 3 students have been exploring coding and problem-solving using Ozobots in Technology. Students learned how to program their robots by creating colour-coded pathways and testing different commands to guide them through challenges.

It was wonderful to see students thinking critically, working collaboratively, and showing resilience as they debugged and improved their designs. A fun and engaging way to develop computational thinking skills while bringing coding to life! 🤖✨

🏆 House Cup Winners – Bulimah! 🏆

Congratulations to Bulimah for taking out the House Cup this term. A fantastic effort all around!

To celebrate, Bulimah students will enjoy a FREE DRESS DAY in Week 10 on Tuesday 23rd June. Well done, Bulimah! 💙

CONFIRMATION 2026
We had a wonderful evening gathering together with this delightful group of children as they were sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Like Baptism, Confirmation is a gift that we carry with us for life. God knows the plans He has for each one of us and the good works he desires to accomplish in us and through us. We pray the Holy Spirit bears good fruit in these children in the years ahead. May God bless them and keep them. Amen 🙏

🎲 2P has been busy developing their subtraction skills through a fun and engaging dice activity!

Students rolled dice, worked out subtraction problems, and practised their mental maths strategies while learning through play. Activities like these help build confidence with number facts and make maths both interactive and enjoyable.

Well done, 2P! 👏📚✨

Supporters Day sausage sizzle was a huge success! 🌭

Mrs Buckley and Mrs G were absolute legends on the BBQ, serving up over 800 sausages in what felt like our biggest sausage sizzle yet.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and supported the day. It was fantastic to see so many staff and students supporting their favourite teams and clubs.

We’re not saying there’s a connection, but the Queensland Maroons might have had a little extra luck on their side last night! 🐸 🏉
