St Michael's Primary Kaleen

Last night, Mrs Fox participated in the St Vincent de Paul CEO Sleepout along with 117 leaders in our community, to experience the reality facing too many everyday Australians. It was a wet and windy night at Old Parliament House but Mrs Fox rugged up in her sleeping bag and cardboard bunker to keep warm. With the support of the St Michael's community, Mrs Fox raised over $6000 to tackle the cycle of homelessness. The Catholic Education Team raised $65 000 combined, making them the second highest fundraisers for the Canberra Sleepout. Altogether, SVdP have raised over $900 000 and still counting! Thank you for your support.

Tuesday’s Athletics Carnival was a huge success 🏆Thank you to Mrs Hardwicke, all staff, parents and volunteers who assisted with planning and help on the day 🙏Congratulations to all students who displayed team spirit and participated in the days events 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃Ribbons will be handed out this Friday after the Kinder showcase assembly 🥇🥈🥉

Today Years 3/4 went to the National Portrait Gallery to explore visual thinking strategies. This will support the students with our next novel study using a wordless book 📕
