A huge thank you to the Cancer Council for delivering an informative and eye‑opening session to our Year 9 cohort. Students gained valuable insights into the dangers of va**ng, the impact it can have on their health and wellbeing, and—most importantly—where they can access support if they or someone they know needs help.
We’re grateful for this partnership and for the opportunity to empower our young people with knowledge that helps them make safer, healthier choices.
Together, we continue to educate, support, and strengthen our community.

Congratulations to Mr Fox and his Public Speaking class!
Last week our students delivered their end‑of‑semester speeches as part of a Leadership Symposium – a TEDx for SFX, and they absolutely shone.
The calibre of presentations was exceptional, with every student demonstrating impressive control of tone, projection, body language and confidence.
This was the very first time this course has been offered at St Francis Xavier College, and we could not be prouder of this remarkable group of girls for setting such a high standard.
Well done to all involved — what an inspiring way to finish the semester!

A Night of Purpose. A Community of Compassion.
Tonight, our Student Leaders Team is taking part in the 2026 SFX Charity Sleepout.
While one night sleeping outdoors can never truly replicate the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness, it is an opportunity for our student leaders to deepen their understanding, build empathy, and stand in solidarity with some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
We are incredibly proud of the courage, commitment and leadership our SLT has shown in bringing this initiative to life. Through their efforts, they are not only raising vital funds for charity but also helping to shine a light on an issue that affects too many Australians.
At St Francis Xavier College, leadership is about service, and tonight our student leaders are living that commitment.
There is still time to support their efforts. Every donation, no matter the size, will help make a meaningful difference through our House charities and the organisations they support.
Thank you to everyone who has already donated and encouraged our students along the way. Together, we are showing what it means to live our values of Truth and Courage.

Our Forensics students have been getting hands‑on with blood‑spatter analysis, exploring how patterns can help interpret what happened at a crime scene. These real‑world learning opportunities are made possible by the expertise and passion of our dedicated SFX teachers. A broad, dynamic curriculum is just one of the many ways we help students discover their potential.

Tonight’s the night!
Our Senior Leadership Team are sleeping rough on campus to raise vital funds for four of our House Charities. This is your LAST CHANCE TO DONATE and support the incredible work these students are doing.
From 6pm tonight until 7:30am tomorrow, our SLT will be camping out in the Year 10 locker bay — a covered but otherwise outdoor space — with nothing more than a sleeping bag and minimal comforts to stand in solidarity with those who experience homelessness.
They’ll be supervised overnight by Year 12 Coordinator Luke Potter and Director of Student Wellbeing Leilah Ayton.
Let’s rally behind them.
Let’s show what SFX spirit looks like.
Donate now and make a difference.

Our English students were treated to an incredible live experience recently, with Bell Shakespeare bringing Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet to life on stage.
A huge thank‑you to our dedicated English Department for organising this enriching opportunity for our students. Moments like these deepen learning and spark a lifelong love of literature.
