WORLD CUP FEVER CONTINUES
Today, our Year 11 and 12 students joined forces with a group of teachers for a World Cup-themed 5-a-side football tournament. Lunch was transformed into a match day as teams battled fiercely for a place in the knockout stages and, ultimately, the coveted World Cup trophy.
Rumour has it that the staff-based team may need to lift their game if they want to stay in contention. We hear they're already lobbying for a wildcard entry into next week's semi-finals. 🤣🤣
Go Socceroos! Wishing the boys in green and gold the very best as they face the USA on the World Cup stage tomorrow morning.

PROUD SHIELD
Last Friday, our Proud Shield team faced Kirrawee High School in the semi-final of the Sydney East Championship. The team delivered a dominant performance, securing a convincing 10–0 victory through strong defence and some powerful hitting.
Zain Bull (Year 10) started on the mound and set the tone early, shutting down the opposition and consistently finding the strike zone. Zach Jacenko (Year 9) and Declan Mannion (Year 10) continued to dominate as relief pitchers, keeping the Kirrawee batting lineup off balance throughout the game.
Mason Hayes-Conway (Year 8) and Joel McCanna (Year 9) made their Proud Shield debuts and both competed exceptionally well. Joel produced some excellent plays at shortstop, and both players recorded their first hits as members of the squad. Congratulations to Joel and Mason on this well-deserved achievement.
The team will now take on Woolooware High School next week in the Sydney East Championship Final. We wish them the very best as they compete for the title.

AFL NSW hosted a fantastic Junior Talent Development day for AFL students from Endeavour and Hunter Sports HS last week. The students got a lot out of it and we are grateful to AFLNSWACT for their ongoing support of the sports high schools.

Year 8 Greek Language classes have been learning about the 'Evzones' - Greek Presidential Guards, the historical reference and their contemporary duties. Students have really enjoyed dressing up in traditional costumes, practising the synchronised movements and trying to distract the 'guards'.
