Circle of Competence ⭕️
Why am I feeling so lost?
Because you are outside of your Circle of Competence.
Circle of competence is an area in which we have a lot of earned knowledge.
The “Circle of Competence” is the core mental model used by Buffett and Munger to calibrate risk and leverage. The essence of the circle does not depend on how large your perimeter is, but on your absolute discipline to stay inside it.
Mastering Success: Navigate Within
Your Circle of Competence

The Treadmill Illusion 🏃♂️
Stop mistaking motion for progress.
We tend to use “busyness” to hide from what actually matters.
In behavioral psychology, this is known as Action Faking (A term coined by MJ Demarco, the international best selling author of Unscripted.) When facing an uncomfortable, high-stakes objective, your brain creates a barrier of minor tasks.
It craves the dopamine of checking off an item. By staying deeply distracted by “urgent” noise, you successfully protect yourself from the emotional friction of doing the real work.
“To be everywhere is to be nowhere.” - Seneca
Start today:
Shift from action-faking to action-taking.
Step away from the treadmill (illusion).
Don’t be afraid of the ground (reality).
Decide what your first physical action is, schedule it, and do it.
Avoidance creates anxiety.
Action creates clarity.

The Treadmill Illusion

🤯 “It feels like EVERYONE has their child in tutoring… is my child missing out?”
But I’m not a fan of drilling worksheets or hothousing my child. Because knowing more isn’t the same as learning better.
What’s better alternative to tutoring?
🔨 Traditional tutoring is like a booster seat—it helps children reach the table for now.
🧰 Learning & Development Centre is a training ground—it builds the mindset, motivation, and learning habits that carry children forward for life.
💡Research tells us:
When mindset and motivation are activated, the brain learns deeper and better.
Psychologist Carol Dweck’s Growth Mindset talks about The Power of ...Yet, Dweck explains that people tend to approach problems with one of two mindsets. Our children just have to change their thoughts to: “I can’t do it... yet.”
Because how a child learns is just as important as what they learn.

Are we missing out? Or maybe the real question isn’t whether my child needs tutoring, it is what kind of learning journey are we building...
