We are in full swing practising for the 4Cs event later in the year. Many of our dancers will perform cultural dances at Bunjil Place. These rehearsals take place in the students' own time, and they approach this opportunity with great dedication and commitment. Their hard work and enthusiasm reflect their pride in representing our college, and they consistently strive to uphold the highest standards in their performances.

Cranbourne Secondary College Celebrates 50 Years

On 22 October, Cranbourne Secondary College will open its doors to the community as we celebrate 50 years of history, learning, and achievement.

The event will feature an amazing collection of memorabilia from across the decades, including a special showcase of images from the Tom Randa Collection. Tom has been carefully curating a series of photographs from his extensive archive of negatives, bringing to life the memories, experiences, and moments that have shaped our college community.

These images will remind us of the wonderful learning, friendships, and fun we have shared throughout the years.

Today, we are giving you a glimpse of one of those memorable moments a day when we dressed up in true 1970s style. As always, our dress-up days brought a sense of fun, belonging, and appreciation for the past, while creating lasting memories for everyone involved.

We look forward to sharing many more stories and images as we count down to our 50th anniversary celebrations.

🎶 Our VET Music students are taking centre stage! 🎤

Our Certificate III in Music (Performance) students recently showcased their growing talent on the College's new performance stage in the music room as part of their SAC 2 assessment.

Students performed a set of at least three works, demonstrating not only their musical ability but also their confidence, stagecraft and solo performance skills. A key part of the assessment involved performing before a live audience and receiving constructive feedback to help refine their performances.

We were also delighted to welcome students from Croydon Community School, who joined us to present their own SAC 2 performances. The opportunity to perform alongside fellow VET Music students and exchange valuable feedback created an authentic industry-style experience and highlighted the power of collaboration through music.

Congratulations to all of our performers for the dedication, courage and professionalism they displayed. Our new performance space is already proving to be a fantastic venue for students to develop their skills, build confidence and share their passion for music with others.

Year 7 Students Return to Their New Learning Spaces

Today was an exciting milestone as our Year 7 students entered their newly refurbished learning spaces and began classes in their new home.

After waiting patiently for much of the year, students finally had the opportunity to experience the bright, modern and welcoming facilities. Throughout the week, they will continue exploring the new spaces and becoming familiar with the classrooms and learning areas designed to support their success.

The smiles on students' faces said it all. They were excited to be learning in clean, contemporary environments that inspire curiosity, collaboration and pride. These outstanding new facilities will provide an excellent foundation for our Year 7 students as they continue their learning journey at the College.

We thank our students, families and staff for their patience throughout the building works and look forward to seeing these wonderful spaces come to life with learning every day.

𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺: 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟭𝟬 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 🌟
This term, over 100 Year 10 students stepped into real workplaces across retail, hospitality, education, animal care, trades, health and more. They built confidence, professionalism and real-world skills, with employers praising their positive attitudes and willingness to learn.
For some, the experience confirmed exactly where their future lies. For others, it helped them realise a different path might suit them better, which is just as valuable. A few students were even offered part-time work as a result of their efforts.
