ππ Sweet Data Learning in Kβ2! ππ
Our Kβ2 students took a very hands-on approach to data this weekβwith Skittles! π¬ Students sorted their packets by colour, then carefully recorded their results using tally marks before turning their information into a picture graph. Once all the data was collected and displayed, students became data detectives, answering questions and investigating what their graphs showed. There were lots of opportunities to practise counting, comparing, and interpreting informationβ¦ and of course a little excitement working with such colourful maths materials! A deliciously fun way to explore data! πβ¨

ππ Engadine Library Excursion ππ
Our students enjoyed an exciting excursion to Engadine Library, travelling by train and experiencing public transport as part of their learning journey. Throughout the trip, students demonstrated outstanding behaviour, showing respect, responsibility and independence while representing Waterfall Public School with pride.
At the library, students explored a wide range of books and resources, participated in engaging library activities and further developed their love of reading. They listened attentively, asked thoughtful questions and embraced every opportunity to learn.
It was wonderful to see students so engaged and excited about reading, with many eager to share the books and resources they discovered during their visit. Experiences like these help foster a lifelong love of learning and literacy.
We are incredibly proud of the way our students conducted themselves and the enthusiasm they showed throughout the day. ππ

π¨ποΈ Mural in a Day Incursionππ¦
Today, our students took part in an exciting art incursion where they worked collaboratively to paint our new mural, creating a vibrant and colourful backdrop featuring magnificent sea eagles. Using spray paint, students followed all safety procedures by wearing masks and listening carefully to instructions throughout the activity. π¨β¨
Students also had the opportunity to express their creativity by designing and creating their own bird and animal sculptures. They carefully moulded clay into unique forms and used a variety of tools and materials to add texture, detail, and character to their creations before bringing them to life with paint. π¦π¦π¨
It was a fantastic day filled with creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and hands-on learning. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, imagination, and artistic talents our students displayed throughout the day. ππ
A huge thank you to our talented artists for guiding and inspiring our students to create something truly special for our school community! ππ
