Last week, our Year 10 students participated in the Future Pathways Careers Sessions, hearing from more than 35 professionals and Rosebank alumni representing industries including business, law, medicine, engineering, psychology, education, photography, film, construction and more.
Across three interactive sessions, students gained valuable insights into career pathways, workplace experiences and the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Following the careers sessions, families gathered for the Year 10 Stage 6 Subject Selection Information Evening, where students and parents explored senior subject options and received guidance from the College's Learning Team to support informed choices for Year 11 and beyond.
We extend our sincere thanks to our guest presenters, alumni, staff and Pathways and Partnerships Team for supporting our students as they take the next step towards their future aspirations.
From career exploration to subject selection, it was a valuable opportunity for our Year 10 students to begin shaping the pathways that will help them become fully alive in their learning, leadership and future careers.

Earlier this month, more than 90 students and staff members came together for Rosebank's annual Vinnies Winter Sleepout, an evening of reflection, learning and solidarity with those experiencing homelessness and hardship.
While one night can never replicate the realities faced by people sleeping rough, the experience challenged students to deepen their understanding of social justice, human dignity and the importance of compassionate action.
A highlight of the evening was hearing from Josie Charbel, State Manager of Vinnies Vans NSW, who shared powerful insights into the experiences of vulnerable members of our community and encouraged students to look beyond stereotypes to see the person behind every story.
The generosity of our students was also on full display, with 1,350 snack packs assembled and donated to support the vital work of Vinnies in assisting those experiencing hardship across our community.
Grounded in prayer, reflection and service, the Winter Sleepout provided a meaningful opportunity for students to connect faith with action and consider how they can make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Thank you to our dedicated staff and students for embracing the experience with such openness, empathy and compassion.

On Saturday, Mariella L (Year 10) represented Rosebank in the Senior State Final of the Rostrum Voice of Youth Competition at Wenona School.
Rostrum Voice of Youth is a national speaking competition which provides an excellent opportunity for secondary school students in Australia to gain experience and confidence in expressing their views and communicating a message.
Mariella delivered an 8 minute original speech and had to respond to a previously unseen topic for a 3 minute speech.
She came second in the State final, a fantastic result in a very competitive field. Mariella's division was open to students from Year 10 through to 12, so we hope to see her speaking for future success in the next couple of years.
Congratulations Mariella! Rosebank is so proud of you.
