Over the past two months the year 9 Launch Justice class has been working on a donation project aimed to support the vulnerable groups in our local community.

With all of the amazing donations we received from everyone here at Hallam we were able to deliver donations of school supplies, food, clothes, toys, and sanitary products to 5 amazing places within our community.

- School supplies and food to our own Hallam Wellbeing team
- 4 boxes of food to the Doveton Neighbourhood Learning Centre
- Children's clothes, nappies, toys and formula to Early Learning Victoria Hallam
- 4 boxes of food and sanitary products to Casey North Community Information and Support Service
- 4 boxes of food, clothing and sanitary products to Transit Kitchen and Food Support

We are so proud of the work that the Launch Justice class put into this project and how much we were able to give back to our own Hallam community.

National Sorry Day

National Sorry Day, observed each year on 26 May, acknowledges the pain and injustice experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of the Stolen Generations — children who were forcibly removed from their families under past government policies.

In 2008, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd formally apologised to First Nations Australians for the suffering caused, calling for action to close the gap in health, education, and opportunity.

National Sorry Day is a reminder that reconciliation begins with acknowledging our history and working together toward a future built on respect, justice, and healing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
