At My Mates Place, we believe disability support should be about more than appointments and hours on a roster. It should be about friendship, confidence, laughter, new experiences, and creating a life that people genuinely enjoy.

Every week we bring people together through group activities, community adventures, Friday night socials, indoor cricket, archery, horse riding, outings, and shared experiences that build confidence and meaningful connections. By supporting participants together, we’re able to create real friendships while also helping families get greater value from their NDIS funding.

Whether someone is looking to develop independence, increase their social confidence, access their community, make new mates, or simply have a great time in a safe and supportive environment, we’re here to walk alongside them.

We also understand that sometimes families need a break. That’s why we offer respite supports in a welcoming environment where participants can relax, have fun, and feel right at home.

The greatest thing we’re building isn’t a service.

It’s a community.

👩 Friday Ladies Group🕙 Approx. 10:00am – 2:30pm (4.5 hours)👥 Small group ratio of 3 participants to 1 support worker🚗 Pick-up, drop-off and transport to activities included💰 Estimated cost: $120–$150 per participant (from Core Supports)

🐴 MY MATES PLACE & PROSPECT HILL EQUINE THERAPY 🐴

🌿 Join us for an amazing Equine Therapy experience🌿

My Mates Place proudly partners with Hannah and the team at Prospect Hill Equine Therapy to provide a fun, engaging, and confidence-building group experience.

🚐 We pick you up from home and transport you to the property, where you’ll be involved in a hands-on equine therapy session that includes:

🐎 Grooming and preparing horses for riding
🐎 Assisting with saddling up
🐎 Horse riding for approximately 1 hour in the arena or, for more experienced riders, through the beautiful Kuitpo Forest
🐎 Unsaddling and caring for the horses after your ride
🐎 Farm activities and animal interactions
🐎 Returning the horses safely to their paddocks

🍽️ After the farm activities, we usually head to a local bakery or café to enjoy lunch together, build friendships, and develop social skills before returning home.

⏰ The entire experience runs for approximately 4.5 hours.

👥 We are currently looking for a few more participants to join the group. As long as we have 2–3 participants, we’re happy to coordinate suitable days and times, subject to availability with Hannah at Prospect Hill Equine Therapy.

🌸 Girls Friendship Groups – Limited Spots Available! 🌸

Mia is starting a Friday Morning Girls Group, with pick-up between 10:00am and 10:30am and activities running for approximately 4 hours.

We already have one participant confirmed, so we’re looking for 1–2 more friends to join the group. If you’re interested, get in quick!

💖 Teen Girls Sunday Group
We’re also putting together a friendship group for teenage girls on Sunday mornings, starting around 10:30am and running for approximately 4 hours. We currently have room for 2 more participants.

🚗 We are located south of Adelaide and can provide pick-up and drop-off services between Seaford and Marion for all friendship groups.

🌸 Girls Group – Friday Afternoons with Mia 🌸

We’re looking at creating a fun and welcoming girls group where friendships can grow and everyone feels included.

Some of the activities may include:

• Learning about makeup and skincare
• Hair care and beauty tips
• Shopping trips
• Simple cooking and baking activities
• Movie outings
• Attending local community events
• Bowling and other social activities
• Relaxing, chatting, and spending time together as a group of friends

This group is all about building confidence, making new friendships, and having fun in a supportive environment.
