Assertivess & Confidence Mistake #1: Waiting for permission to have a voice.
Many leaders wait for approval before they speak up.
They worry about being judged.
They worry about upsetting people.
They worry about being wrong.
But leadership isn't about waiting for permission. It's about contributing your perspective respectfully and courageously.
The moment you stop seeking approval before speaking up is the moment your confidence begins to grow.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of working with the fantastic team at Symmetry Physiotherapy, facilitating a professional development session on enhancing interpersonal skills through DISC.
One of the key messages from the day was that DISC is not about putting people into boxes. Rather, it helps us appreciate that people think, communicate, make decisions and respond differently.
The more we understand ourselves and others, the better equipped we are to adapt our communication, build trust, strengthen relationships and collaborate more effectively.
In healthcare, technical expertise is obviously critical. Equally important, however, is the ability to connect with colleagues, support one another and create positive experiences for clients and patients.
Thank you to the entire Symmetry team for your openness and willingness to learn. It was a pleasure working with such a positive and committed group of professionals.
