🧱 When do I fit Six Bricks into my day?

It's one of the most common questions we hear from educators.

The good news? ✨ Six Bricks doesn't need a dedicated lesson block.

In our latest article, we share three simple ways to use Six Bricks during moments that already exist in your day:

🏫 As children arrive
🔄 During transitions
📚 Before a learning block

These quick 5-minute activities help build focus, listening, memory, and engagement without adding more work to your planning.

💡 Small moments. Big impact.

👀 Are you really seeing everything children are showing you?

One of the most powerful things about Six Bricks isn't the activity itself, it's what you can observe while children are engaged in it.

As children build, create and problem-solve, they reveal so much about their learning:
🧱 How they follow instructions
🧱 How they remember and process information
🧱 How they adapt when things don't go to plan
🧱 How they communicate and collaborate
🧱 How they manage frustration and persist

The best part? You're not stopping learning to assess. You're observing learning as it happens.

In this week's Six Bricks Australia LOWDOWN, Sandra and Jenny explore how Six Bricks can become a simple, practical evaluation tool that helps educators notice growth, development and progress through play.

✨ Six Bricks doesn't just support learning. It helps you see it.

What do you notice when children use Six Bricks?

Perceptual skills are the hidden foundations of learning ✨🧠

When children can notice
patterns, remember visual information, and understand space and position, they build stronger foundations for reading, writing, focus, and problem solving.

In our latest Six Bricks Australia LOWDOWN, Sandra Lunn and Jenny Chate explore how simple, playful Six Bricks activities can strengthen perceptual skills through movement, hands-on learning, and joyful repetition.

Can you spot the fish? 🐟🔥🐉
Or maybe it’s a fire dragon with an flaming tail…

This week in our online Six Bricks Level 1 & 2 training, educators became storytellers, creators, problem-solvers, and imaginative thinkers through the “Warm and Cold Creatures” activity.

Using only Six Bricks and their imagination, participants created mythical creatures, matched heads and tails online, invented magical powers, and built collaborative stories together.

What looks like play is actually developing:
✨ Visual discrimination
✨ Creativity and storytelling
✨ Teamwork and communication
✨ Focus and inhibitory control
✨ Spatial awareness and problem solving

This is the magic of Six Bricks — simple activities with powerful learning outcomes.

Thank you to the amazing educators who joined us this week and brought such energy, creativity, and laughter to the session 💛💙❤️💚

🔥Small Builds. Big Confidence.

Short, achievable Six Bricks activities help children build confidence through quick wins. By starting, completing, and improving simple tasks, children strengthen persistence, focus, and self-belief-without overwhelm.

Confidence doesn’t come from doing more.
It comes from finishing something-and knowing you can do it again.

🧱 In just minutes, Six Bricks activities create small wins that build:
✔️ Persistence
✔️ Focus
✔️ Self-belief
✔️ Willingness to try again

When children experience success quickly, everything shifts-from “I can’t” to “I did.”

Simple. Structured. Powerful.

Bilateral coordination, balance, coordination., success with Six Bricks.

Once the bricks are balanced:
spread your arms out
wave your arms gently up and down
make airplane or spaceship (Artemis 2) noises as you move around.
