πŸ†Lightning Carnival 2026 πŸ†

Wow! What an incredible day at the Lightning Carnival.

Despite the challenging weather conditions, our Woodvale students demonstrated outstanding resilience, teamwork, sportsmanship, and determination throughout the day. We are so proud of the way they represented our school, giving their best effort in every game while maintaining a positive attitude, even in the rain.

A huge congratulations to all students who participated in AFL, Soccer, Netball, and Modcrosse. Your commitment, encouragement of teammates, and willingness to persevere through the wet and muddy conditions was fantastic to see.

Thank you to our staff, parent helpers, coaches, and officials who helped make the day possible. Your support and flexibility were greatly appreciated. A special thanks to Mr Sturmer for his planning and organisation.

Days like today show what being part of the Woodvale community is all about - courage, resilience, teamwork, and having a go no matter the conditions.

Well done, Woodvale! We couldn’t be prouder. πŸ’™πŸ’›

πŸ’§ Water Wise Learning at Woodvale PS! πŸ’§

Our Year 6 and Year 1 students recently took part in an engaging incursion presented by the Water Corporation. Through a range of interactive activities, students explored where our water comes from, how it is treated, and the important role we all play in conserving this precious resource.

The sessions provided valuable, hands-on learning experiences that connected directly to the Science curriculum. Year 6 students deepened their understanding of the water cycle, water management, and sustainability practices, while our Year 1 students discovered where water comes from and why it’s important to use it wisely.

Students thoroughly enjoyed the demonstrations and activities, making this a fantastic opportunity to link classroom learning with real-world applications. πŸŒπŸ’¦
