This morning, students from Years 3-6 participated in a St Paul and St Peter Instructional Mass.
The students gained a deeper understanding of the words, actions and rituals that take place during Mass, so they can become more active in their participation and help strengthen their relationship with God.

More creative ways weβre applying procedural writing at OLA π€©
This term, our Year 3 students have been exploring procedural texts through a hands-on sunflower planting activity.
Following each step of the process, they gathered materials, planted their seeds and then wrote clear, step-by-step instructions to document their learning. A great way to connect writing skills with real-world experiences. We canβt wait to see these flowers bloomπ»π»π»

This week in Year 1, the students had so much fun beginning their new writing genre β Procedure Writing! πβ¨
To kick off their learning, students became the teachers and gave instructions on how to make fairy bread. There were lots of excited voices, plenty of creative ideas mixed in with a little bit of chaos along the wayπ€
After following the steps, everyone enjoyed a delicious piece of fairy bread. What a sweet start to their procedure writing unit! ππ

What a special day for our Year 6 students, who celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation last weekend ποΈπ―οΈ
Surrounded by family, friends and our parish community, the students renewed their baptismal promises and received the gifts of the Holy Spirit as they continue their faith journey.
We were honoured to welcome the Most Reverend Bishop Donald Sproxton, who led the celebration alongside Father Ken.
A heartfelt thank you to Miss Versace and Mr McIntyre for supporting and preparing our students so beautifully, to Ms Knight and the choir, and to our families for their encouragement every step of the way π

LIFELINK LAUNCH 2026
Year 6 leaders Louis, Ruby and Nathan had the privilege of accompanying Ms Vranjes and Mrs La Rosa for the LifeLink launch Corpus Christi College, WA yesterday.
Catholic primary schools from all around Perth gathered to listen to Archbishop Timothy Costelloe, Bishop Donald Sproxton and Bishop Nelson Po speak about the charities that LifeLink supports.
As this is the year of St Francis, they learnt about the story of St Francis and how we too can be like him by caring for those who need our support.
After the formalities were over, they all gathered in the gym for a bit of socialising and morning tea.

Supporting our community π
This June, Dianella Plaza is partnering with the Dianella Community Pantry to help support local families in need.
Donations can be placed in the collection box outside Coles at Dianella Plaza throughout the month. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, is greatly appreciated and goes directly to supporting the Pantry and the people it serves.
As a school community, we're proud to support initiatives that make a positive difference close to home. If you're able to contribute, we'd love for you to consider supporting this worthwhile cause.
