With 30 June just two weeks away, time is incredibly precious - especially for children with hearing loss like Grace.

Each day without access to specialist support is a day of missed opportunities to hear, learn and connect with the world around them.

Your tax-deductible donation to TSH helps close the gap for families who are waiting, hoping and doing all they can to give their child the best start in life.

Because when it comes to a child’s development, every moment counts - and it’s something we can never get back.

In late May and early June, TSH proudly marked National Reconciliation Week, reflecting our ongoing commitment to strengthening relationships with the communities in which we deliver our programs.

Reconciliation is an ongoing journey for TSH, and we look forward to our next step in reestablishing a Reconciliation Action Plan, built on respect, understanding and a shared commitment. It calls on all of us to listen, learn and take meaningful action.

On 28 May, Central Regional TAFE Moora hosted a free community Reconciliation Week event. The day featured a BBQ, creative painting activities, and opportunities for connection, with Community Liaison Officer Kylie taking time to sit, relax and have a yarn.

The event brought together local employees from the Yued Aboriginal Corporation, and Kylie also enjoyed reconnecting with the WACHS (WA Country Health Service) Aboriginal Health Team, along with other community members.

A big thank you to Central Regional TAFE Moora for hosting this wonderful event and creating a space for connection, reflection and community spirit.

Diagnosed with permanent hearing loss at birth, and a speech delay as a toddler, Grace has already overcome so much to find her voice... but just look (and listen) to her now! 🤩

With the support of our generous community, Grace hasn’t just found her voice - she’s thriving. She is one of the lucky ones who received early support when it mattered most, giving her the opportunity to learn to hear and speak.

But not every child with hearing loss gets that same chance.

This EOFY, you can help change that. Your generosity can give a child the support they need when it matters most.

This week, Sadé, TSH Occupational Therapist, along with little helper Enzo, arranged and collected toy donations for the Moora Brighter Futures Pathway 🧸🪀

A special thank you to Sadé for initiating and leading this wonderful effort - your dedication made it all possible.

Thank you to the generous communities of Joondanna, Tuart Hill and Yokine, with a special shoutout to Emily from Little Art Buddies Perth for your wonderful donations and for inviting Enzo to join in the fun at your art session 🎨

We also hope you all enjoyed the thank you cards and Enzo's favourite chocolate as a small token of our appreciation.

With more collections happening next week, we’re truly overwhelmed by the community’s generosity. Your support helps us deliver vital occupational therapy and speech therapy services to children in regional WA 🌾

Grace may be tiny… but she is already working so hard.

Diagnosed with permanent hearing loss as a baby, she is learning how to hear, listen and speak… one sound at a time.

Your support can help more children receive the specialised care they need during their most important years of development.

Please donate before 30 June to help children like Grace during their critical window of development.

TSH End of Financial Year Tax Appeal 26/05/2026

Grace has a critical window… but it won’t stay open for long.

Diagnosed with permanent hearing loss at just 6 weeks old, her hearing aids give her access to some sounds - but they can’t teach her what those sounds mean.

She has to learn how to hear.
How to listen and understand.
How to speak.

And that learning must happen now, while her brain can form the vital pathways for communication, connection and learning.

Without early support, that window begins to close.

This EOFY, you can help children like Grace make the most of their critical early developmental window.

TSH End of Financial Year Tax Appeal Support children with hearing loss and speech delays like Grace. Give generously and provide a future of possibility for children who need it most.

22/05/2026

Grace was born with permanent hearing loss and started wearing hearing aids at just six weeks old.

Her mum, Hayley, was worried and unsure what Grace’s future would look like.

While hearing aids help Grace access some sounds, she has to work extremely hard to understand what those sounds mean. Simply keeping up with the world around her is exhausting.

Grace also experiences a speech delay which has been an additional challenge for her, the progress for Grace feels like two steps forward and one step back.

Your support can change that.

By helping children like Grace access early support during this critical development window, you’re opening the door to a future full of possibility. Without it, the impact can sadly last a lifetime.

Help give a child their voice and make a tax-deductible donation today to our EOFY Appeal: https://fundraise.tsh.org.au/tsh-eofy-appeal
