๐Ÿšฒ๐Ÿ‘ฎYear 4 and 5 Constable Care Excursion ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿšฒ

Earlier this week, our Year 4 and 5 students enjoyed an exciting and educational visit to the Constable Care Safety School as part of our school's Health program. The excursion provided students with valuable real-life learning experiences focused on engaging students in healthy and active communities, helping them develop the skills and knowledge needed to stay safe in everyday situations.

Students explored a realistic miniature community featuring roads, intersections, a roundabout, pedestrian crossings, traffic lights, a train station, bus stop, and school zones. Riding bicycles throughout the program, students practised negotiating hazards they may encounter as pedestrians and cyclists, while learning how to make safe and responsible choices in a range of traffic environments.

Thank you to our parent-volunteers who joined us for the excursion and thank you to the staff at Constable Care for providing such a valuable and enjoyable learning experience for our students.

๐Ÿ๐ŸˆโšฝWinter Carnivalโšฝ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ

On Thursday 12 June, our Year 6 students proudly represented the school at the Winter Carnival, competing in Soccer, AFL and Netball. All teams displayed outstanding sportsmanship, teamwork and determination throughout the day. Our Soccer and AFL teams performed exceptionally well, each only dropping one game for the tournament, while our Netball team achieved an incredible undefeated record.

We are extremely proud of the effort, resilience and positive attitude shown by all students. A sincere thank you to the teachers and community members who generously gave their time and support to make the day such a success.

๐ŸŒป๐ŸชGarden Club Update ๐Ÿช๐ŸŒป

Last week in gardening club, students were so busy planting lots of new fruits and vegetables! We planted capsicum, beans, lettuce, kale, broccoli and pumpkin seeds. Everyone was working so hard to make our school garden look beautiful. Kale chips have continued being a big hit, with them all being devoured within seconds! We are so excited to continue caring for country, watering and nurturing our plants and hopefully eating them when they are ready to be harvested.

โœจ๐Ÿ“– P&C Second-hand Book Stall ๐Ÿ“–โœจ

Our wonderful P&C organised a second-hand book stall to raise funds for the The Indigenous Literacy Foundation helping provide books and literacy resources to children in remote Indigenous communities.

Students brought along a gold coin donation to purchase a book, and together we raised an incredible $570.55 to help provide books and literacy resources to children in remote Indigenous communities.

A big thank you to everyone who donated books, and a special thank you to our dedicated P&C members for organising and running the stall. We also appreciate the support of our students, families and volunteers who helped make the fundraiser such a success. ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’™
