Have you ever felt empty inside?
This came as a surprise to me because I had spent years being there for everyone else's world. I was considering what others needed, consistently being busy, and unconsciously making sure everyone around me was okay.
Then one day, I felt a profound sense of emptiness inside. Not empty as in I did not care.
Empty as in I could not remember the last time I felt fully present in my own life.
Empty as in I was doing all the things I normally did, but something felt missing.
Empty as in feeling tired in a way sleep did not seem to fix.
Empty as in moving through my days on autopilot and realising I had stopped noticing what I needed.
I remember questioning whether I had stopped caring, whether something had shifted within me, but what I came to realise was that it was not that I had stopped caring at all. I had simply been carrying too much for too long.
I think many women find themselves here. They keep everything moving: family, work, responsibilities, and the needs of everyone around them. Somewhere along the way, what often gets left behind is the part of themselves that needs tending, too.
Being needed can feel meaningful, but being needed is not the same as feeling nourished.
Feeling empty can create doubt. It can make you question yourself and wonder whether something is wrong. Yet reconnecting with your own needs, hearing yourself again, and understanding what you need begins to create something more stable and secure inside.
This is where self-awareness begins to grow. Self-trust builds, and self-love begins to be felt.
Maybe the question is not what is wrong, but what within you has been asking for your attention.

I remember moving through my days thinking I was handling everything well.
The responsibilities were being met. Things were getting done. I was showing up, carrying what needed carrying, and from the outside, I thought I was handling it, and it probably looked like I was coping.
But I remember realizing at one point that I could not remember the last time I had simply felt present in my own life.
Not productive.
Not useful.
Not getting through a list.
Just... present.
Because somewhere along the way, I had become so focused on holding everything together that I slowly stopped noticing what it was costing me.
I think this is one of the quieter forms of burnout.
The kind where you are still functioning.
Still caring for everyone.
Still showing up.
But parts of you are slowly disappearing beneath the pressure.
Coming back to yourself does not always begin with changing your whole life.
Sometimes it begins with honesty.
By noticing the quick breaths.
The everyday exhaustion.
The constant feeling of needing to stay on top of everything.
Sometimes it starts with slowing down enough to hear what you have been overriding.
If life feels heavy right now, pay attention to that.
Not because something is wrong with you, but because it may be asking for something different from you.
A softer way.
A safer way.
A way back to yourself.

The women who hold everything together are often praised for how much they can carry.
Very few get asked what it costs them.
How often do you find yourself thinking about holding it all together while considering everyone else?
How often are you so consumed with what everyone else needs that your own needs are not even considered?
This is your reminder that managing everything is not the same as feeling balanced.
You do not earn your worth by keeping everything on track and carrying the weight of everything around you. In fact, this often continues the pattern of doing more, carrying more, and trying to control more... all in the hope of feeling worthy.
What would happen if you began building your worth differently?
By acknowledging your needs.
By understanding how you work best.
By creating more ease and alignment.
Imagine how different it would feel to make decisions and take action from a stronger awareness and trust within yourself.
This is one of the strongest ways to hold up the world around you.
This is self-trust.
When you begin noticing your truth sooner, resting earlier, and asking for support before exhaustion arrives, a different pattern begins to form.
You can be deeply capable and still know your strength without needing to prove it through exhaustion.

Overthinking is not who you are. It is a pattern, and patterns can be changed.
So many women are living in constant mental loops without even realizing how much energy it consumes each day.
The re-questioning.
The replaying conversations.
The second-guessing.
The thinking ahead.
The trying to control outcomes before they happen.
And then wondering why they feel mentally and emotionally exhausted by the end of the day.
What many women do not realize is that overthinking often becomes a pattern in the name of safety.
