A fun, low-pressure glee club for primary-aged children who love to sing, move, perform, build confidence and simply have a go. Run by a local teacher with 12+ years experience in the classroom and performing arts.

📍 Somerville Mechanics Institute Hall
🗓 Tuesdays from 14th July (4.30-5.30)
🎭 7-week program, including showcase night

Wondering what a typical Spotlight Glee Club rehearsal might actually look like? 💜

Think upbeat music playing as kids walk through the door, warm up games to ease nerves, singing together as a group, dramatic poses, movement, laughter and lots of encouragement along the way!

Rehearsals are designed to feel welcoming, supportive and FUN…whether your child already loves performing or is still building confidence little by little.

There’ll be opportunities for children to:

💃 move
🎭 perform
🤝 build friendships
✨ celebrate brave moments
…and simply enjoy being part of something new & exciting

Over the years I’ve learnt that kids don’t connect with perfection…they connect with energy, silliness, encouragement and feeling safe enough to give things a go.

So yes…there will probably be dramatic voices, dancing around the room and me happily making a fool of myself 😅

Because when adults let go and have fun too, kids feel brave enough to join in. That’s the kind of environment I want Spotlight Glee Club to be:

I created Spotlight Glee Club to help kids build confidence, have fun and feel proud of themselves..no matter their ability.
