A fresh week of delicious, nourishing meals is on the menu for our little learners! 💙

Our Week 4 Winter Menu has been carefully planned to provide balanced nutrition, plenty of variety, and wholesome seasonal favourites to fuel busy days of learning, play, and discovery.

At South Lake ELC, we love fostering healthy eating habits and creating positive mealtime experiences that support children's growth and wellbeing.

🚧👷‍♀️ Construction Month has been full of hands-on learning and creativity! 👷‍♂️🚧

Our little builders in Frogs and Merry Magpies have been busy exploring the exciting world of construction through sensory play, creative experiences and imaginative adventures.

From creating construction-themed play trays with shredded paper, wood chips and trucks, to strengthening fine and gross motor skills by building, and stacking activities, every experience has encouraged curiosity, problem-solving and teamwork.

Through play, our children are developing important skills including coordination, communication, creativity and confidence, all while having so much fun getting stuck into their construction projects!

We can't wait to see what our young builders create next! 🏗️💛

We are incredibly touched that Councillor Carol Zhang - City of Cockburn shared her family’s experience with South Lake Early Learning Centre. Her reflections are a beautiful reminder that quality early learning is about so much more than education—it’s about supporting families, building relationships, and providing a safe, nurturing place where children can thrive.

For over 30 years, our mission has remained the same: to care for every child as if they were our own and to support families through every season of life.

Thank you, Carol, for trusting us with Tim all those years ago and for sharing such a meaningful part of your journey. It was an honour to welcome you back for the opening of our new Playground.

We’re so excited to share a closer look at our brand-new playground at South Lake Early Learning Centre!

Every element has been carefully considered to create a space where children can explore, build confidence, develop new skills and learn through play. From sensory experiences and nature-inspired features to opportunities for climbing, balancing and imaginative play, this playground has been created with our children’s growth and wellbeing at its heart.

Watching our children laugh, explore and make new discoveries in this beautiful space has been incredibly rewarding, and we can’t wait for many more memories to be made here.
