Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Sheikh Bari (Shopon) from the NSU 93/94 Batch, who passed away last Sunday in Sydney. He was a resident of Mount Druitt, NSW.

We understand that he suffered a sudden heart attack. His Janazah was held yesterday.

On behalf of the OzNSUers community, we extend our deepest condolences to his family, relatives, and loved ones during this difficult time.

May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, shower him with His infinite mercy, grant him Jannatul Firdaus, and give patience and strength to his family. Ameen.

Please remember him and his family in your duas.

Aussie NSUers Badminton Tournament 2026 – Registration Now Open! 🏸

Before registering, please carefully note the following information:

📅 Tournament Date: Saturday, 11 July 2026
🕒 Time: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
📍 Venue: Emerton Youth Recreation Centre
Registration Fee
💰 Participation fee is $25 per person, per format.

✅ Complete your registration using the appropriate form below.
✅ We will then contact you via email with payment instructions.
✅ Your participation slot will be confirmed only after payment has been received.
Participation Rules

⚠️ For Men's and Women's categories, participants may register in either Singles OR Doubles (not both).

✅ In addition to your chosen Singles or Doubles format, everyone is welcome to participate in Mixed Doubles as a second format. If anyone wishes to play Mixed Doubles only that is also possible

Your kindness and generosity made a difference. Thank you sisters and brothers, for sharing your Qurbani meat packs once again this year. Your kind gifts will be nutritious meals for the orphans and community in need for many days to come. Please acknowledge their gratitude and prayers. 🤍

🌙✨ Qurban meat donation appeal 🌙✨

Qurban meat is traditionally divided into three equal portions: one-third for the family, one-third for relatives and friends, and one-third for the community in need.

As previous years, our Aussie NSUers seniors have organised a Qurbani meat donation this year in partnership with Quakers Hill Mosque, to distribute the meat among Bangladeshis in need and orphans who may not have any opportunity to receive Qurban meat.

If you would like to contribute, please contact either of them.

*Please pack 2.5-3 kg of meat in each bag, labeled what kind of meat it is, e.g. goat/lamb/beef* and find drop-off details in the attached image.
