An exercise in restraint…. I went to the enormous yesterday, and managed to choose a small selection of beautiful fabrics from the mountains of materials there. With a room full of fabrics at home waiting to be made into something new, I wanted to be choosy.
The second photo is of a one-off linen top I just finished, (from fabric I chose yesterday), available online at the end of this week

These images by Iain McKell capture the unique style and vibrant colours of the modern nomads depicted in them. In turn, they have inspired some new necklaces in beautiful tones of red, blue, green and pink. All my beaded pieces are made with a mix of new and old beads, some found in second hand stores or garage sales, some from broken jewellery, some from my collection

Thank you to everyone who braved the heat yesterday in Glebe I’m so happy that some of my pieces have found new homes. Today, I’ve restocked my stash by raiding someone else’s stash and have come home with all these treasures! My fabrics, beads, buttons, threads and more are up-cycled into clothes, jewellery and accessories from collections just like this. Shop secondhand - it’s far more fun!
