Maintain social distancing

Maintain at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.

Why? When someone coughs or sneezes they spray small liquid droplets from their nose or mouth which may contain virus. If you are too close, you can breathe in the droplets, including the COVID-19 virus if the person coughing has the disease.

Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth

Why? Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contaminated, hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. From there, the virus can enter your body and can make you sick.

Practice respiratory hygiene

Make sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene. This means covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately.

Why? Droplets spread virus. By following good respiratory hygiene you protect the people around you from viruses such as cold, flu and COVID-19.

A young man asked Socrates the secret to success. Socrates told the young man to meet him near the river on the next morning. They me, Socrates asked the young man to walk with him toward the river. When the water got up their necks, Socrates took the young man by surprise and dunked him under the water. The boy struggled to get out but Socrates was strong and held him down. When the boy started turning blue, Socrates raised the boy’s head out of the river . The first thing the young man did was to gasp and take a deep breath of air. Socrates asked,” What did you want the most when you were under water?” The boy replied, “ Air.” Socrates said, “That is the secret to success. When you want success as intensely wanted air under water, then you will have it.” There is no other secret.
A burning desire is the starting point of all accomplishment. Just like a small fire cannot give much heat , a weak desire cannot produce great results.

ইংরেজিতে কথা বলার জন্য এবং বোঝার জন্য বাক্যের passive from জানা খুব জরুরী।
লক্ষ্য করুন
1)আমি একটি চিঠি লিখি
I write a letter.
2)একটি চিঠি লেখা হয়।
A letter is written
প্রথম বাকে চিঠি লেখার কাজ কে করে? জবাব হল আমি( I) করি। অর্থাৎ subject নিজেই কাজ কাজ করে।
আর কোন বাক্যে subject যখন নিজেই কাজ করে অর্থাৎ Verb এর সাথে subject এর সম্পর্ক সরাসরি থাকে তখন তাকে Active from বলে।

এবার দ্বিতীয় বাক্য টি ভাল করে খেয়াল করুন।
প্রথম বাক্যের object হল a latter. এই object দ্বিতীয় বাক্যে এসে subject হয়েছে।
কিন্তু (Written) verb এর সাথে subject ( a letter) এর সম্পর্ক সরসসরি নয়। সম্পর্ক টা হল পরোক্ষ। " চিঠি নিজে লেখার কাজ করেনি। লেখার কাজ অন্য কেউ করেছে। অর্থাৎ দ্বিতীয় বক্যে subject নিজে কাজ করেনি। তাই verb এর সাথে subject এর সমর্ক পরোক্ষ। এরকম সম্পর্কেই passive from বলা হয়।

এবার জানুন কোন ক্ষেত্রে passive হয়।

* subject জানা না থাকলে বা নির্দিষ্ট না হলে। যেমন:

Karim is selected captain.

এখানে করিম কে - কে বা কারা captain selected করল তা জানা নেই বা নির্দিষ্ট নয়।

* যে কাজ করেছে তার চেয়ে যে ক্ষেত্রে কাজ হয়েছে তার গুরুত্ব বেশি হলে। যেমন:
Hundreds of people were killed in accident.
এখানে কে accident
টা করেছে সেটা বড় কথা নয় বা গুরুত্ব পূর্ন নয়। শত লোক মারা গেছে এটাই গুরুত্ব পূর্ণ।
* যে কাজ করে তাকে উল্লেখ করার প্রয়োজন না হলে। যেমন: Rice is grown in Bogra.

স্মরণীয়: passive from
এ subject এর সাথে সম্পর্ক সরাসরি হবে না।

এবার দেখুন কোন কোন নিয়ম গুলি বেশি প্রয়োজন কা বলার জন্য বা বোঝার জন্য। এই নিয়ম গুলি বোঝার চেষ্টা করুন। না বুঝলে আমাকে জানাবেন।

Rule No 1

বাংলা বক্যে কোন কাজ করা হয় বোঝাতে অর্থাৎ কোন কিছু করা হয়, আনা হয় বলা হয়, কেনা হয়, জানা হয়, খাওয়া হয়, খাওয়ানো হয় এরুপ বোঝাতে এই গঠন টি ব্যাবহার করতে হবে।

Sub+ am/is /are + verb p.p
যেমন: আমাকে বলা হয় = I am told.
আমাকে উপদেশ দেওয়া হয়।
I am advised

আমাকে অভিনন্দিত করা হয়
I am congratulated.

আমাকে সমালোচনা করা হয়।
I am criticized.

Rule 2

বাংলা রুপ: কোন কাজ করা হয়েছিল, বলা হয়েছিল শেখা হয়েছিল, দেখা হয়েছিল, জানা হয়েছিল,খাওয়া হয়েছিল, এরুপ বাঝালে ....

Sub+ was /were+ verb p. p.

আমাকে বলা হয়েছিল।
I was told.
আমাকে উপদেশ দেওয়া হয়েছিল।
I was ad ised.
আমাকে সমালোচনা করা হয়েছিল।
I was criticized.

Rule 3

বাংলা রুপ: কোন কাজ করা হবে, বলা হবে, শেখা হবে, দেখা হবে, জানা হবে, খাওয়া হবে এরুপ বোঝালে....
Sub+ Shall be/will be + verb P.P
আমাকে বলা হবে = I shall be told.
আমাকে উপাদেশ দেওয়া হবেে = I shall be advised
আমাকে সমালোচনা করা হবে = I shall be criticized.

Rule 4

বাংলা রুপ: কোন কাজ করা হচ্ছে, বলা হচ্ছে, শেখা হচ্ছে, শেখা হচ্ছে,জানা হচ্ছে, খাওয়া হচ্ছে এটুপ বোঝালে....
Sub + Am being/is being /are being+ verb P.p

আমাকে বলা হচ্ছে = I am being told
আমাকে উপদেশ দেওয়া হচ্ছে = I am being aevised
আমাকে সমালাচনা করা হচ্ছে = I am being criticized.

Rule 5
বালা রুপ: কোন কাজ করতে হচ্ছিল বা করা হচ্ছিল, বলা হচ্ছিল, লেখা হচ্ছিল, জানা হচ্ছিল, খাওয়া হচ্ছিল এরুপ বোঝালে...
Sub+ was being/ were being + verb P.P

আমাকে বলা হচ্ছিল = I was being told.
আমাকে উপদেশ দেওয়া হচ্ছিল = I was being advised.
আমাকে সমালোচনা করা হচ্ছিল = I was being criticized.

Rule 6

বাংলা রুপ: বাংলা বাক্যে কোন কাজ করা যায় বা যেতে পারে বোঝাতে....
Sub+ can be + verb PP
আমাকে বলা যেতে পারে = I can be told
আমাকে সাহায্য করা যেতে পারে = I can be helped
আমাকে জানানো যেতে পারে = I can be informed.
Rule 7
বাং রুপ : কোন কাজ করা যেত বা করা যেতে পারত বোঝালে.....
Sub + could be + verb P.P
আমাকে বলা যেত পারত = I could be told.
আমাকে অনুমতি দেওয়া যেতে পারত = I could allowed.
আমাকে নিয়গ করা যেতে পারত = I could be appointed.

Rule 8

বাংলা রুপ : বাংলা বাক্যে কোন কাজ করা উচিং বোঝাতে

sub+ should be + verb p.p

যেমন:
১ / আমাকে বলা উচিৎ
I should be told.
২/আমাকপ অনুমতি দেওয়া উচিৎ
I should be allowed
3/আমাকে নিয়োগ করা উচিৎ
I should be appointed.

Rule 9

বাংলা রুপ: কোন কাজ করা উচিৎ ছিল বোঝাতে

Sub+ should have been+ verb p.p
যেমন:
আমাকে বলা উচিৎ ছিল
I should have been told.
আমাকে অনুমতি দেওয়া উচৎ ছিল।
I should have been allowed.
আমাকে নিয়োগ করা উচিৎ ছিল।
I should have been appointed.

Rule 10.

কোন কাজ করা হয়েছে বোঝাতে
Sub+ have been /has been + verb p.p.

আমাকে বলা হয়েছে
I have been told.
আমাকে অনুমতি দেওয়া হয়েছে।
I have been allowed.
আমাকে নিয়োগ করা হয়েছে।
I have been appointed

Rule 11
অবশই কোন কাজ করা হবে বোঝাতে....

Sub + must be + verb p.p

যেমন: আমাকে অবশ্যই বলা হবে।
I must be told.
আমাকে অবশ্যই অনুমতি দেওয়া হবে।
I must be allowed.
আমাকে অবশ্যই নিয়োগ করা হবে।
I must be appointed.

এবার প্রত্যেকটি নিয়ম দিয়ে আরো কিছু বাক্য নিজে নিজে করুন। বেশি বেশি চর্চা করুন।
