করমুক্ত আয়ের সীমা ৩,৫০,০০০ টাকা করার প্রস্তাব:
২০২৩-২৪ অর্থবছরের বাজেটে করমুক্ত আয়ের সীমা বৃদ্ধি করে ৩,৫০,০০০/- টাকা করার প্রস্তাব পেশ করছেন অর্থমন্ত্রী আ হ ম মুস্তফা কামাল। বর্তমানে বিদ্যমান কর আইন অনুযায়ী ব্যক্তিশ্রেণির করদাতার ক্ষেত্রে সাধারণ করদাতার বার্ষিক আয় ৩,০০,০০০/- টাকা করমুক্ত। আগামী ২০২৩-২০২৪ অর্থবছরের বাজেটে করমুক্ত আয়ের সীমা বৃদ্ধি করে ৩,৫০,০০০/- টাকা করার প্রস্তাব করা হয়েছে। অর্থাৎ, ৩,৫০,০০০/- টাকা পর্যন্ত আয় করলে কোনো আয়কর(ইনকাম ট্যাক্স) দিতে হবে না। আর, যারা বছরে ৩,৫০,০০০/- টাকার বেশি আয় করবেন তাদের আয়কর (ইনকাম ট্যাক্স) দিতে হবে।

বর্তমানে ক্রমবর্ধমান জীবনযাত্রার ব্যয় ও দ্রব্য মূল্যের উর্ব্ধগতির কারণে সাধারণ মানুষকে সংগ্রাম করতে হচ্ছে। সামগ্রিক বিষয় বিবেচনায় নিয়ে আগামী ২০২৩-২০২৪ অর্থবছরের বাজেটে সাধারণ শ্রেণীর করদাতাদের ক্ষেত্রে করমুক্ত আয় সীমা ৫০,০০০/- টাকা বৃদ্ধির প্রস্তাব আনা হয়েছে।

তাছাড়া, নারী ও ৬৫ বছরের বেশি বয়সী করদাতাদের ক্ষেত্রে করমুক্ত আয়সীমা ৫০ হাজার টাকা বাড়িয়ে ৪,০০,০০০/- টাকা করার প্রস্তাব পেশ করা হয়েছে।

প্রস্তাবিত কর আইন অনুযায়ী নিম্নোক্ত করহার প্রযোজ্য হবে:

প্রথম ৩,৫০,০০০/- টাকা পর্যন্ত আয়ের ওপর কর প্রযোজ্য হবে না।
৩,৫০,০০০/- টাকার পরবর্তী ১,০০,০০০/-টাকা পর্যন্ত আয়ের ক্ষেত্রে মোট আয়ের ওপর ৫% আয়কর দিতে হয়।
পরবর্তী ৩,০০,০০০/- টাকা পর্যন্ত ১০%,
পরবর্তী ৪,০০,০০০/-টাকা পর্যন্ত ১৫% ,
পরবর্তী ৫,০০,০০০/- টাকা পর্যন্ত ২০%, ।
অবশিষ্ট টাকার আয়ের উপর ২৫% শতাংশ আয়কর প্রযোজ্য হবে।
