জিন প্রকৌশলের মাধ্যমে এমন উদ্ভিদ তৈরির গবেষণা চলছে, যা অন্ধকারে নিজে থেকেই আলো ছড়াতে পারে। চীনের একটি বায়োটেক প্রতিষ্ঠান জোনাকি পোকার ও জৈব-আলোক উৎপাদনকারী ছত্রাকের জিন উদ্ভিদে সংযোজন করে এই প্রযুক্তি উন্নয়ন করছে।

বর্তমানের আলোকোজ্জ্বল গাছগুলো মৃদু সবুজাভ আলো তৈরি করতে পারে, তবে গবেষকদের মতে ভবিষ্যতে এগুলোর উজ্জ্বলতা আরও বাড়ানো সম্ভব হবে। “Firefly Petunia” নামে পরিচিত কিছু উদ্ভিদ ইতোমধ্যে আন্তর্জাতিকভাবে ব্যাপক আগ্রহ সৃষ্টি করেছে।

বিশেষজ্ঞরা মনে করেন, এই প্রযুক্তি ভবিষ্যতে রাস্তার আলো, পার্কের আলোকসজ্জা এবং ঘর সাজানোর পরিবেশবান্ধব বিকল্প হতে পারে। তবে জিনগতভাবে পরিবর্তিত উদ্ভিদের দীর্ঘমেয়াদি পরিবেশগত প্রভাব নিয়ে এখনও গবেষণা ও সতর্কতা প্রয়োজন।

২০২৬ সালের বিরল ব্লু মুনের এক মনোমুগ্ধকর দৃশ্য, যা ইংল্যান্ডের Isle of Wight-এর পশ্চিম প্রান্তে অবস্থিত বিখ্যাত The Needles শিলাস্তূপ এবং Needles Lighthouse-এর পটভূমিতে ধারণ করা হয়েছে।

২০২৬ সালের ৩১ মে, রবিবার সন্ধ্যায় আকাশে উদিত হওয়া মাসের দ্বিতীয় পূর্ণিমা—বিরল ব্লু মুন—সমুদ্র, আকাশ ও ঐতিহাসিক উপকূলীয় নিদর্শনের সঙ্গে মিলিত হয়ে এক অপূর্ব ও স্মরণীয় প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্যের সৃষ্টি করে, যা দর্শকদের জন্য ছিল সত্যিই এক অসাধারণ দৃশ্য।

মহাকাশ প্রযুক্তি প্রতিষ্ঠান SpaceX-এর বহুল আলোচিত আইপিওর পর Elon Musk বিশ্বের প্রথম ট্রিলিয়নিয়ার হিসেবে পরিচিতি লাভ করেছেন। শেয়ারবাজারে তালিকাভুক্ত হওয়ার মাধ্যমে স্পেসএক্স প্রায় ৭৫ বিলিয়ন ডলার সংগ্রহ করে এবং এর বাজারমূল্য বেড়ে প্রায় ১.৭৭ ট্রিলিয়ন ডলারে পৌঁছায়, যার ফলে মাস্কের মোট সম্পদের হিসাব ১ ট্রিলিয়ন ডলারের সীমা অতিক্রম করে। তবে তার এই সম্পদের বেশিরভাগই নগদ অর্থ নয়; বরং স্পেসএক্স, Starlink এবং অন্যান্য প্রযুক্তি উদ্যোগে থাকা তার মালিকানাধীন শেয়ারের বাজারমূল্যের ওপর নির্ভরশীল। ফলে শেয়ারবাজারের ওঠানামার সঙ্গে তার সম্পদের পরিমাণও পরিবর্তিত হতে পারে। প্রযুক্তি ও মহাকাশ শিল্পের ইতিহাসে স্পেসএক্সের এই আইপিওকে একটি যুগান্তকারী ঘটনা হিসেবে দেখা হচ্ছে, কারণ বিনিয়োগকারীরা স্যাটেলাইটভিত্তিক ইন্টারনেট, মহাকাশ পরিবহন এবং কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তানির্ভর ভবিষ্যৎ প্রযুক্তিতে বিপুল সম্ভাবনা দেখছেন। তবে একই সঙ্গে অনেক অর্থনীতিবিদ সতর্ক করে বলেছেন যে কোম্পানিটির বর্তমান মূল্যায়ন অত্যন্ত উচ্চ এবং ভবিষ্যতে এটি উল্লেখযোগ্য আর্থিক ঝুঁকির কারণও হতে পারে।

🌌 A Meaningful Day at SPARRSO 🚀

I was honored to participate in the National Workshop titled "Space Observation: Challenges and Prospects in Bangladesh", organized by the Bangladesh Space Research and Remote Sensing Organization (SPARRSO).

During my visit, I had the opportunity to meet with the respected Chairman, Project Director, and other distinguished officials of SPARRSO. We had fruitful discussions about the activities, achievements, and future vision of the DIU Astrophysics Center, and explored possibilities for greater collaboration in the fields of space science education, research, and public engagement.

I am especially delighted to share that I presented one of my space-inspired paintings and a copy of my recently published book to the Honorable Chairman of SPARRSO as a token of appreciation and goodwill.

As someone who is passionate about both science and art, it was a wonderful experience to share my creative work in a setting dedicated to advancing space research and exploration in Bangladesh.

I sincerely thank SPARRSO for the invitation and warm hospitality. I look forward to future collaborations that will inspire more young minds to explore the wonders of the universe.

মহাকাশ অনুসন্ধান ও রোবোটিক্স গবেষণার মতো অত্যাধুনিক ক্ষেত্রে এমন সাফল্য দেশের বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি খাতের সম্ভাবনাকে আরও দৃঢ়ভাবে তুলে ধরেছে। ভবিষ্যতে আন্তর্জাতিক পর্যায়ে আরও বড় অর্জনের পথে এই মাইলফলক নতুন প্রজন্মকে গবেষণা, উদ্ভাবন এবং প্রযুক্তিনির্ভর চিন্তায় উদ্বুদ্ধ করবে।
