We are immensely proud to announce that, under the MoU with Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), the first cohort of the “Building Bridges through Leadership Training (BBLT)” has successfully graduated. On April 18, 2026, a meaningful graduation ceremony took place in Rangpur, where 60 students of our department received their certificates after completing the training, and 10 students who served as facilitators for the training also received their certificates.

On behalf of our department, Mr. Niaz Makhdum attended the ceremony and graciously received the Appreciation Crest from BYLC. This esteemed crest was later handed over to the Department Head, marking a moment of pride for us.

We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to our students and express our sincere gratitude to BYLC for their unwavering support and invaluable contribution. Through this training, our students have transformed into more courageous, compassionate, and capable leaders, ready to serve and uplift their communities.

Following our program, BYLC expanded its reach by engaging with school and college students in Rangpur, leading to a total of 179 graduates. We believe this initiative has made a significant contribution to the youth development of Rangpur, creating a lasting impact and opening new opportunities for BYLC’s future programs in the region.

On the occasion of the holy Ramadan, a cordial Iftar Mahfil was organized today by the Department of Public Administration’s debate organization, Public Administration Debating Society (PADS).
The program was graced by the honorable Moderator of the department, Saiful Islam, Assistant Professor, Department of Public Administration, and former President of PADS, Murad Hossain Moon.
Among others, Current President of PADS, General Secretary, and debaters from different batches of the organization were also present at the event.

লোকপ্রশাসন বিভাগের রামাদান কালচারাল ফেস্ট ও ইফতার মাহফিল অনুষ্ঠিত

বেগম রোকেয়া বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, রংপুর এর লোকপ্রশাসন বিভাগের আয়োজনে রামাদান কালচারাল ফেস্ট ও ইফতার মাহফিল অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। আজ রবিবার (০১ মার্চ ২০২৬) বিকেলে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের স্বাধীনতা স্মারক মাঠে আয়োজিত এ ইফতার মাহফিলে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য প্রফেসর ড. মোঃ শওকাত আলী।
লোকপ্রশাসন বিভাগের বিভাগীয় প্রধান মুহাম্মদ মুজাহিদুল ইসলামের সভাপতিত্বে অনুষ্ঠিত সংক্ষিপ্ত আলোচনা সভায় প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্য প্রদান করেন উপাচার্য। তিনি বলেন, গবেষণায় বেগম রোকেয়া বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বর্তমানে দেশের বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলোর মধ্যে যে অনন্য উচ্চতায় পৌঁছেছে, সকলের সম্মিলিত প্রচেষ্টায় সেই শ্রেষ্ঠত্বের গৌরব ধরে রাখতে হবে। শিক্ষার্থীদের বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রাণ হিসেবে অভিহিত করে তিনি বলেন, শিক্ষার্থীরা এই বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সবচেয়ে বড় অংশীজন। এই শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের সুনাম শিক্ষার্থীদের সনদের মর্যাদাকে বহুগুণ বাড়িয়ে দেবে। তাই সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমে কোনো ধরনের গুজব বা নেতিবাচক প্রচারণায় কান না দিয়ে গঠনমূলক কর্মকাণ্ডের মাধ্যমে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়কে এগিয়ে নেয়ার আহ্বান জানান উপাচার্য।
ইফতার মাহফিলে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের রেজিস্ট্রার (অতিরিক্ত দায়িত্ব) ও প্রক্টর প্রফেসর ড. মোঃ ফেরদৌস রহমান উপস্থিত ছিলেন। ইফতার অনুষ্ঠানে দোয়া পরিচালনা করেন বেরোবি কেন্দ্রীয় মসজিদের খতিব ড. রকিব উদ্দিন আহাম্মেদ। দোয়ায় দেশ, জাতি ও বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সার্বিক কল্যাণ কামনা করা হয়। অনুষ্ঠানে লোকপ্রশাসন বিভাগের সহকারী অধ্যাপক নিয়াজ মাখদুম, সাইফুল ইসলাম, প্রভাষক আফজাল হোসেন শাকিল, সহকারী রেজিস্ট্রার মোঃ ফজলুল হকসহ শিক্ষার্থী ও কর্মচারীগণ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস -২০২৬ উপলক্ষে প্রতি বছরের ন্যায় এ বছরও বেগম রোকেয়া বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের লোক প্রশাসন বিভাগ ভাষা শহীদদের প্রতি গভীর শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়ে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কেন্দ্রীয় শহীদ মিনারে পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণ করেছে।

এসময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন, বিভাগীয় প্রধান ও সহকারী অধ্যাপক মুহাম্মদ মুজাহিদুল ইসলাম, সহকারী অধ্যাপক সাইফুল ইসলাম ও প্রভাষক আফজাল হোসাইন সাকিল এবং বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থী ও কর্মকর্তাবৃন্দ।

মহান ভাষা আন্দোলনের শহীদদের আত্মত্যাগের প্রতি গভীর শ্রদ্ধা। তাঁদের রক্তের বিনিময়ে অর্জিত আমাদের এই বাংলা ভাষা চির অম্লান থাকুক।

The event was honored by the presence of Professor Dr. Md. Showkat Ali, Honorable Vice Chancellor of BRUR, and Mr. Sayeed Mahbub Khan, Rector (Senior Secretary), BPATC.

The agreement was signed by Md. Mujahidul Islam, Chairman, Department of Public Administration, BRUR, and Dr. Md. Mohoshin Ali, MDS (Joint Secretary), BPATC.

This collaboration will open new avenues for student study visits, internships, joint research, and faculty exchange, strengthening academic excellence and practical learning.
