Welcome to the next chapter!
There has been a lot in the works over the last months and it’s time to share what has been going on.
I, along with the local community in Spanish Wells, has taken on the challenge of beginning a new sailing program on the island of Spanish Wells. Like Abaco, Spanish Wells has deep roots in sailing, but in recent years has lost this skill. Spanish Wells Sailing School has been formed to help bring this skill back, while inspiring spiritual and personal development.
So go follow this page to see how God makes this happen and maybe He’ll use you.

Welcome to the Spanish Wells Sailing School page - the first-ever sailing school on the island of Spanish Wells! SWSS is a nonprofit launched by locals with a dream to see sailing on the island of Spanish Wells. Our goal is to provide the people of Spanish Wells with the opportunity to learn the art of sailing, inspire spiritual and personal growth, and represent their community in sailing regattas. We are excited to see SWSS take shape and partner with the local community and you, however that may look. Here's to new beginnings! 🇧🇸

It’s time for something new 👀

Hey everyone, here’s an update on what I’ve been up to for the last month.
I have been volunteering some time at Camp Bahamas as I plan for the next sailing venture. Camp has played a big role in my life over the years and it has been nice to be back using the skills that I have to serve. Mostly, I have been focusing on repairing and maintaining the fleet of hobiecat sailboats they have, but I have also put a lot of effort into landscaping the property and other projects.
A few weeks ago the camp hosted a youth retreat for the Spanish Wells Methodist Church Youth Group. It was a weekend of learning and building new friendships as we got to meet the teens and talk about problems in there lives with them.
All in all this has been a very fulfilling time so far and has provided time for God to lead me towards what He has for me next.

Well I’m in the Dominican Republic again! After the closing of Ciganka’s charter season I helped sail the boat back to where it is kept in the off season, Luperon. After getting everything ready in Green Turtle Cay and began our seven day sail south, we first sailed four days east and then picked up the trade winds and heading due south all the way to the DR. We had beautiful weather and a perfect trip, no issues. I will now spend a little bit of time with my friends here before I fly back home to Abaco.

Well that’s a wrap for this year’s charter season on Ciganka. So many great memories and so much learning. Captain Thomas has been a great mentor and is now a lifelong friend, the time we spent together is such a privilege. More updates about what I’ve been doing coming tomorrow.
