🎓 Senior Spotlight: Josef Rupp
We are so proud to recognize Josef Rupp for his creativity, talent, and contributions to Tambearly International School. A Tambearly student for the past seven years, Josef brings a rich international background. With German and South African roots, he was raised in Dubai before moving to The Bahamas. His passion for the performing arts has been a defining part of his time with us. Josef has made his mark on stage, taking on memorable lead roles in school productions such as Scrooge, the Grinch, the Mad Scientist, and Lord Farquaad, earning the “Best in Drama” award for his performances. He is also a talented musician and singer, playing electric guitar in the high school pop band. Looking ahead, Josef plans to pursue his interest in traditional craftsmanship. Following a gap year of travel, he will attend the American College of the Building Arts in Charleston, South Carolina, where he will study blacksmithing in a unique program that combines liberal arts with hands-on training in the building trades. We are incredibly proud of Josef and look forward to all he will accomplish in the years ahead.

It snowed in The Bahamas… and we have proof ❄️ Day 3 of Literacy Week brought a little magic to Tambearly as meteorologist Brian Shields, better known as Mr. Weatherman on YouTube, visited our campus! After reading his book Stormy Day Pals, our students got a hands-on (and very chilly!) surprise… SNOW! ⛄️ Our students experienced weather in a way they’ll never forget.

Our high school students took a moment to slow down and connect with the power of reading during “Stop, Drop, and Read” for Literacy Week. Books were opened and distractions set aside as students immersed themselves in stories.

At Tambearly International School, Literacy Week is in full swing! Today, students participated in our “Stop, Drop, and Read” activity. With excitement in the air, they grabbed their favorite books, cozy blankets, and headed outside to the lawn. Under the cool shade of a tree, they settled in and got lost in their stories.

Congratulations to Aimee Smith, Grade 8, for her outstanding work completing the (𝑎+𝑏)^3 cube expansion activity with impressive efficiency--finishing approximately 74% faster than the average completion time. Our high school students continue to explore algebra through creative, hands-on approaches, blending mathematics with art, geometry, and spatial reasoning to deepen their understanding.

Our recent Pep Rally delivered an afternoon of competitive spirit and school pride, as house teams faced off in Fast & Furious RC Car Racing and soccer matches. From precision driving on the track to determined play on the field, students represented their teams with focus and energy.

With music, food, and strong support from the sidelines, the event brought the community together while raising funds for the school band’s upcoming trip to Orlando. A well-executed afternoon that set the tone heading into Sports Day.
