What an incredibly special week it has been in Reggio Emilia alongside 34 colleagues from 26 Reggio Children International Networks through dialogue, reflection, and learning.
As the network marks its 20th anniversary, conversations centred around democratic cultures in early childhood, peace, participation, and the responsibility schools hold in shaping a better future for children and communities. This year’s meeting also carried renewed significance following the recent visit by The Princess of Wales to Reggio Emilia, bringing global attention once again to the Reggio Emilia approach.
A visit to the Loris Malaguzzi Centre was a powerful reminder of how spaces can nurture community, collaboration, and the democratic culture of childhood. Equally meaningful was being immersed in the history of Reggio Emilia, where spaces once built for wartime machinery were transformed into places centred around children, humanity, and education.
EtonHouse Bhutan International School continues to deepen its understanding with the Reggio Emilia approach through ongoing dialogue, reflection, and professional learning with REACH, the research and professional development arm of EtonHouse Group, and Reggio Children, advocating for the rights, voices and potential of children.

EtonHouse isn't just a school. It is the realisation of a mother's dream. Founded by a passionate mother, our journey began with the vision of creating a joyful and stress-free learning environment.
This vision shaped our inquiry-based approach to education, one that has influenced and reimagined learning in Singapore since the 1990s. Since then, we have expanded across eight countries, and now continue this journey with Bhutan’s first international K–12 school.
“I wanted for every child to have a special school like the one [my daughter] she attended, one that celebrates each one of you, where learning is full of joy, where you are encouraged to ask questions, and your unique talents are cherished by your teachers. I hope that your school is as special as I wanted it to be. I hope that every day in EtonHouse is filled with joy and curiosity, and memories that will last you a lifetime.”

The Princess of Wales’ visit to Reggio Emilia, Italy, reflects the growing global attention on an educational philosophy that continues to inspire educators, schools and advocates for children around the world.
EtonHouse Bhutan International School, a Reggio Emilia-inspired international school, is proud to bring an inquiry-led approach that sees children as capable, curious and full of potential.
As part of EtonHouse International Education Group, a member of being part of the Reggio Children International Network, this moment is especially meaningful to us as we continue our ongoing partnership and our shared commitment to advocating for the rights and potential of every child.
We continue to be part of a global dialogue that shapes meaningful conversations about childhood, learning and the future of education.
