A moment of immense pride and celebration for Dechencholing Higher Secondary School as our 𝐔𝟏𝟓 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬’ 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 emerged victorious in the Season 5 Championship held at the Royal Bodyguard Astro Field, Dechencholing.

Our girls once again showcased exceptional teamwork, resilience, discipline, and determination to secure the championship title, marking our 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝟓 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬!

The finals against Jigme Namgyel LSS were highly competitive and thrilling. JNLSS displayed remarkable strength and spirit throughout the game, staying strong until the 4th inning when our girls turned the game around with outstanding performance and teamwork.

Adding to this proud achievement, our players also brought home individual honors:

We are proud to announce that our 𝐔𝟏𝟓 𝐁𝐨𝐲𝐬 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 emerged as the 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 of Season 5 after an exciting championship match held at the Royal Bodyguard Astro Field, Dechencholing.

Our boys displayed outstanding teamwork, determination, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament, successfully clinching the title and making this our 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝟓 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬.

Successful donation drive for books opened the hearts of young minds to delve deeper into reading .
What once began as a routine has slowly transformed into a solace for young minds that seek comfort, wonder, and happiness within pages. As each learner reads, the reader journeys deeper into worlds of ideas, emotions, imagination, and reflection. In those silent moments, books become companions, and reading becomes more than a habit — it becomes a gentle conversation between the soul and the written word.

Dechencholing HSS Shines at the Earth Day Inter-School Online Painting Competition! 🎨

On 22 April 2026, our talented UNESCO Club members proudly represented our school at the NCR Delhi Federation Clubs for UNESCO Inter-School Online Painting Competition, held under the inspiring theme “Save Your Earth – Our Planet, Our Responsibility.”

The competition brought together 18 schools from across the globe, making it a truly meaningful platform for young artists to express their voices for the environment.
We are thrilled to announce that our young artist, Jigme Tenzin Losel (Class V), achieved an outstanding milestone by securing 1st Place in the Primary Category🥇. This remarkable achievement has filled our school community with immense pride and joy.

Every participating student demonstrated creativity, passion, and deep concern for our planet. Through colours and imagination, they beautifully conveyed powerful messages of environmental responsibility and care.

The school extends our heartfelt appreciation to all our young artists for their dedication and to Ms. Dechen Choden, who coordinator and supported the team. Together, they have shown that even the smallest hands can paint the biggest hopes for our Earth 🌱

SEASON 3 CHAMPIONS, DHSS U12 Baseball Boys Make History!

The BBSA U12 School Baseball and Softball League – Season 3 concluded with an outstanding performance at the Rinchen Kuenphen Primary School grounds, and it was a moment to remember for the DHSS U12 Baseball team. With determination, teamwork, and a relentless spirit, our young players rose above the competition to be crowned Season 3 Champions! 🎉

From the very first pitch to the final inning, the boys displayed remarkable discipline, coordination, and confidence on the field. Every run scored and every defensive play reflected hours of practice and strong team unity.

STEAM Exhibition 2026 – Where Ideas Came Alive!

Our school proudly hosted its much-anticipated STEAM Exhibition on 30th April 2026, bringing together creativity, curiosity, innovation, and learning in its most exciting form. Students from Class 4 to Class 12 transformed classrooms into hubs of discovery as they showcased a wide range of impressive and thought-provoking projects.

The theme was “OPEN” for all categories, where learners were given the freedom to explore limitless possibilities—and they truly proved that imagination has no boundaries. From creative prototypes to meaningful real-life solutions, each project reflected the spirit of inquiry and the courage to think differently.
The exhibition was organized under four categories:
🔹 Category 1: Class 4 – 6
🔹 Category 2: Class 7 – 8
🔹 Category 3: Class 9 – 10
🔹 Category 4: Class 11 – 12
Each class appointed two confident presenters, who represented their teams with pride and clarity. The students ensured that their exhibition stations were well-prepared and professionally organized, presenting their work with great enthusiasm. Every project presentation included:
✅ A clear introduction of the model
✅ Project title and aim
✅ Names of participants and their roles and responsibilities
✅ Detailed explanation of the process and development
✅ STEAM concepts integrated into the project
✅ The innovation and uniqueness behind the idea
✅ A live demonstration of the exhibit
✅ Strong connection to real-life application and impact

What made this exhibition even more remarkable was that students went beyond showcasing models—they presented their work like young researchers. Each group shared the key components of a research proposal, including their background study, objectives, methodology, and expected outcomes. This highlighted not only creativity but also strong academic thinking, communication skills, and teamwork.

The STEAM Exhibition 2026 was not just an event—it was a celebration of young minds solving real-world problems, exploring ideas with confidence, and learning through hands-on experience. It was inspiring to witness students stepping forward as innovators, creators, presenters, and future leaders.

In recognition of outstanding effort and innovation, the top three winners from each category received cash prizes and certificates. Their projects truly shone through with originality, strong teamwork, and meaningful application of STEAM learning to real-life challenges.

The school extends its heartfelt appreciation to the organiser and to all the students for their dedication and hard work and also to the teachers for their continuous guidance and support in making this event a grand success.
