Today 29th April 2024 we had the Board of Trustees Meeting to discuss and update our operations.

I am happy to introduce to you the Board of Trustees.
1. Prof. Rev. Frank & Mrs. Stella Kainerugaba 2. Ps Henry & Mrs. Patricia Neo Mwewa, 3. Ps Jonathan M. & Mrs Robinah Beesigomwe.

We realized we have lots to give to God's people for growing a different minded generation.

We were reminded of a group of 108 children and youth that went through Life at the Crossroads in 2004 with Campus Crusade.

Part of pre programme questionnaire there were three questions:
1. How many of you want to have children when you grow up?
2. How many children would you like to have?
3. How many would like to get married when you grow up?

The answer to question 3 was Zero even when somebody remembers two half raised hands. This provoked questions four.
4. How then will you have children?

The response was a big laugh as if they had prepared together for the question. It made us look like we were from another planet.

After the programme that was done in three weeks doing a week every school holiday, we asked the same questions.
3. How many want to get married when you grow up?

The response was an overwhelming 100%. We though the had not understood something, so we put the boys and girls in two groups to hear more. The answer was the same.

The boy said they can TRUST ANY GIRL WHO HAS GONE THROUGH THIS PROGRAMME TO BE A HUSBAND.

The girls said they can TRUST ANY BOY WHO HAS GONE THROUGH THIS PROGRAMME TO BE A WIFE.

THE SITUATION FROM 2011 TO 2020 MAY NOT BE BETTER SINCE THE CRUDE MARRIAGE RATE IS BETWEEN FIVE AND SIX (5 -6 PER 1000 PERSONS)

This is one of the reasons we have refused to end our missionary work in Botswana. We keep hoping there will be souls who will look at this organization differently and allow SOME OF ITS many programmes to reach more people in their country.

The church and state used to complement each other in mentoring future generations. Today neither has the capacity and may be interest to do the parents job because of overwhelming pressures from within and from without.

Family Connections Bows and Arrows does offer programs that can be done together at church and School levels.

Parenting tips:
We were blessed to have an opportunity to raise seven children all different. Most of the time we were learning on the job.
We have been sharing some of those lessons and wish to continue offering them that need to raise theirs better in even a more wicked generation.
Meeting together as parents we can build our capacity to help our seed cope in spite of the planned arrows short at the family and our offsprings.

Praying for anyone who desires to know God to get an opportunity today. May the Lord find someone near to help you through Rom 10:8-11 to confess Christ.

Have been thinking about our supporter who have stood with us since we first came to start our missionary work in Botswana on 31 July 1993.
We thank God for the grace and the fruit of the 30 years of labour in the missionary field. That was the birth of Uganda Botswana Mission Partnership.
May the Lord take all the Glory.

Story Number 2: A little boy who brought Salvation to his household through 17 Stories:
Told by the mother Mrs. Babopeng Baratedi:
(+267 73450442)
One day my son Tefo five years six months old came home from school and asked me if I knew Adam and Eve. Before I could check my memory lane, he started telling me the story and how they ate the fruit which God told them not to eat. He told me this was sin. I wanted to know what sin was. He told me; “Sin is the things we do, the things we say and the things we think that make God sad.” This brew my mind. I wanted to know more.
He would narrate verses from the Bible like: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not depend on your own understanding.…. (Prov. 3:5 – 6), “Don’t worry about anything, instead pray about everything… (Phil. 4:6) and a lot more every time he came from school. These were words that I wanted to hear due to the challenges we were going through.
Tefo would ask questions about these verses, but I, not knowing the Bible would not have answers. Sometimes I would try to dismiss the questioning by telling him to go away but then I would feel guilty for my failure to have answers for my baby as the mother. Then I went to buy a Bible and started reading it for answers. I would prepare for him by noting down the books from where he quoted verses because he would never stop asking until he got the right answers.
Then one day, Tefo came home with several small cards with pictures about the Bible stories. He would look at the picture on the cards and not wanting to embarrass me, he would tell me what was happening in the picture. These cards are very precious to him and to me that I keep them in my purse like I would currency.
One day, Tefo asked if I knew Jesus and where he stays. He then told me that Jesus stays in his heart and keeps it clean and would clean mine too. He also said if we went to Church we would make God happy because staying home on Sunday makes Him sad. This was a great challenge to his father and I. We then started looking for a Church.
This is when I went looking for teacher Robinah at my son’s school who was giving him these cards to tell me where I can get the story book. I also wanted to know how I can get Jesus into my heart. She showed me how and I received Jesus Christ and my life has never been the same. Now we love reading the Bible. Our home is indeed blessed to have Tefo as our priest.
Tefo opened my eyes and I really thank God Almighty and ask Him to lead him on his way and guide him for ever. The are in the picture below.
