FATHERS MONTH CELEBRATION🔥🔥

Happy Father's month to all the men who sacrifice so much to be present for their children, in season and out of season.

Thank you for your love, protection, provision, guidance, support, and discipline. Your efforts, whether seen or unseen, shape lives and build stronger families.

As we celebrate you this month, remember that it is okay to lack sometimes, it is okay to hurt, it is okay to cry, and it is okay to seek help. Strength is not found in suffering alone, but also in knowing when to reach out and allow others to support you.

May you continue to find the courage to lead, the wisdom to guide, and the grace to keep going even through life's challenges.

Happy Father's Day to all fathers, father figures, and every man making a positive difference in the lives of children.

You are appreciated.

STRESS MANAGEMENT AND WELLNESS RETREAT AT LESEDI PRIMARY SCHOOL

It was a great honour and privilege for our Founder Bantheri Medupe Mmopi to be invited by Lesedi Primary School to facilitate a session on stress management during their wellness retreat.

The motivation session began with understanding the meaning of stress, its causes, and the importance of managing it effectively before it affects our health, relationships, and performance.

TO THE LEARNERS

Learners were encouraged to remain teachable, willing to learn, and open to guidance. Every challenge should be viewed as an opportunity for growth and development. They were reminded never to bottle up issues that trouble them but to seek help from trusted adults.

Teachers are not only there to teach academic subjects; they are also there to provide a safe space for learners. Learners were encouraged to help build positive relationships between their parents and teachers, understanding that both play an important role in their success.

TO SCHOOL MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP

School leaders were encouraged to remain prayerful, strengthen professional communication, promote teamwork, and lead with love and compassion. Leading learners, teachers, parents, and support staff is not an easy responsibility, but effective leadership creates an environment where everyone can thrive.

TO THE TEACHERS

Teachers have been entrusted with the lives of young souls for a reason. While stress is inevitable, how it is managed is what matters most.

Teachers were reminded to build lives rather than destroy them. A child wounded by a stressed teacher may struggle for years to heal, while a child encouraged and empowered today may become a future leader, professional, or even a teacher tomorrow.

Stress must therefore be handled with caution, courage, wisdom, and self-awareness.

WORKPLACE STRESS: A Silent Threat to Families and Learners

Workplace stress does not end when employees leave the office. It often follows them home, affecting their emotional well-being, relationships, and ability to parent effectively.

When a working parent is overwhelmed by stress, pain, frustration, or workplace challenges, the effects are often felt by the children. A stressed parent may struggle to provide the emotional support, guidance, and attention that learners need to thrive academically and socially. What begins as a workplace challenge can become a distraction to a learner's future, focus, and personal development.

Many young people who lack support, attention, and positive guidance may become vulnerable to negative influences. This can contribute to challenges such as substance abuse, bullying, poor academic performance, low self-esteem, and risky behaviour.

In some cases, unmanaged workplace stress can also strain marriages and relationships, leading to conflict, separation, or divorce. When co-parenting breaks down, children are often caught in the middle, carrying emotional burdens that affect their learning, behaviour, and overall well-being.

This is why workplace wellness is not only an employee issue—it is a family issue, a parenting issue, and an education issue. Employers, leaders, communities, and families must work together to create environments that promote mental well-being, healthy relationships, and work-life balance.

A healthy workplace builds healthy families. Healthy families raise focused learners. Focused learners become responsible and productive citizens.

Let us invest in employee wellness, strengthen families, and protect the future of our children.

THREE MONTHS OF IMPACT

Parents–Teacher Connect Conference!

Today, we celebrate three months since the successful Parents–Teacher Connect 1st Annual Conference.

In just three months, the conference has continued to create awareness and spark important conversations around parenting, education, and the wellbeing of our children. It has strengthened the relationship between parents and teachers, encouraging greater collaboration in supporting learners both at home and at school.

One of the most significant outcomes has been the increased discussion around challenges affecting learners, including parental divorce and separation, co-parenting, and the impact of parents' choices of new partners on children's emotional and academic wellbeing. These issues have emerged as some of the most pressing concerns facing many learners today.

The conference reminded us that a child's success is not determined by the school alone. It requires a united effort from parents, teachers, caregivers, communities, and all stakeholders who have the best interests of children at heart.

As we mark this milestone, we remain committed to promoting positive parenting, healthy co-parenting relationships, learner welfare, and strong parent-teacher partnerships. Together, we can create safe, supportive, and nurturing environments where every child can dream, act, and succeed.

"When parents and teachers work together, learners thrive."

THE POWER OF NOT KNOWING

Many learners and young people today are under pressure to know everything, experience everything, and follow every trend. Unfortunately, this desire to "know it all" often becomes the beginning of confusion and poor decision-making.

When young people constantly seek to try everything, they become vulnerable to:

❌ Negative peer pressure
❌ Bad influences and toxic friendships
❌ Bullying and social anxiety
❌ Substance and alcohol abuse
❌ Disrespect towards parents and authority figures
❌ The love of money and shortcuts to success
❌ Loss of focus on education and personal development

As a result, academics become boring, discipline becomes difficult, and purpose becomes unclear.

True wisdom is not knowing everything. True wisdom is knowing yourself, understanding your purpose, and making the right choices.

At Dream, Act & Succeed (DAS), we encourage learners and youth to:

✅ Know yourself
✅ Understand your strengths and weaknesses
✅ Protect your mental wellness
✅ Focus on your education and future
✅ Choose friends wisely
✅ Respect your parents and mentors
✅ Pursue purpose over popularity

You do not have to follow every trend to succeed.
You do not have to experience everything to belong.
You do not have to know everything to have a bright future.

Sometimes the greatest power is found in saying:
"I do not know everything, but I know where I am going."

🌟 Dream Boldly.
🌟 Act Purposefully.
🌟 Succeed Responsibly.

TAKING DAS INIATIAVE TO THE LEARNERS AND YOUNG PEOPLE IN CHURCHES

Young people do not only need sermons; they need guidance, mentorship, exposure, and opportunities to discover who they are and why they were created.

As Christian learners, one of the greatest journeys you will ever undertake is the journey of knowing yourself, understanding yourself, and becoming the best version of yourself. When you know your strengths, talents, values, and purpose, you make better decisions and build a better future.

Many young people are struggling silently with identity, career choices, peer pressure, mental health challenges, and a lack of direction. The answer is not found in following the crowd, but in discovering God's purpose for their lives.

Churches have a critical role to play in transforming the lives of learners and youth. Beyond the pulpit, we must creatively engage young people through mentorship, career guidance, life skills training, wellness programs, talent development, entrepreneurship, leadership development, and purposeful conversations.

The church must become a place where young people are equipped not only for heaven, but also for life.

Let us raise a generation that knows God, knows themselves, values their wellness, pursues purpose, and contributes positively to society.

To every learner and young person:
✅️Know yourself.
✅️Understand yourself.
✅️Believe in yourself.
✅️Develop yourself.
✅️Discover your purpose.
✅️ Become the person God created you to be.

Your future is too important to leave to chance.

DAS CONTINUES TO BUILD ENDURING LEGACIES IN THE LIVES OF LEARNERS AND YOUTH

It was a great honour to be invited to the Wellness Retreat hosted by the Pentecostal Holiness Church on 9 May 2026, just ahead of Mother’s Day.

As part of the program, the Dream, Act & Succeed Initiative (DAS) had the privilege of engaging young people aged 16 to 21 on a life chabging and thought-provoking topic:

The Power of Not Knowing.

In today’s fast paced world, many young people feel pressured to know everything, try everything, and have all the answers. This constant pursuit often leads to confusion, anxiety, poor decisions, and unnecessary struggles.

We encouraged the youth to understand that:

- You do not need to know everything to move forward.
- Purpose is discovered one step at a time.
- Faith requires trust, even when the future is unclear.
- Protecting your mental health is essential.
- Avoiding toxic lifestyles is key to building a prosperous future.

At DAS, we are passionate about equipping young people especially learners to make informed decissions and live life with clarity, confidence and purpose. We continue to inspire young people to:

✅️ Dream boldly
✅️Act purposefully
✅️ Protect their wellness
✅️ Stay focused on their purpose
✅️Build a meaningful and prosperous future.

We thank the leadership of Pentecostal Holiness Church Gaborone for the invitation and for creating a platform that equips believers to thrive spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally.

Together, we are building a generation that is spiritually grounded, mentally strong and purpose driven.
