DAY OF THE AFRICAN CHILD 2026 COMMEMORATION
On 16 June 2026, Tsabong Unified Secondary School proudly joined the rest of Africa in commemorating the Day of the African Child under the theme:
"Ensuring Universal Access to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for Every Child in Africa."
The event provided an important platform for learners, educators, school leadership and community stakeholders to reflect on the rights and welfare of children, particularly the critical role that access to clean water, sanitation and proper hygiene plays in promoting health, dignity and quality education.
Our learners delivered insightful presentations on water conservation, sanitation, environmental cleanliness and healthy hygiene practices, demonstrating their commitment to becoming responsible citizens and advocates for positive change.
As we commemorate this important day, we are reminded that every child deserves access to safe water, proper sanitation facilities and a healthy learning environment. Together, we can continue working towards a future where the rights and well-being of every child are protected and promoted.
"Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future." – John F. Kennedy

ANNOUNCEMENT OF MEMORIAL SERVICE
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that the Tsabong Unified Secondary School community gently announces the passing of our beloved student, son, friend, classmate, and companion, Lore Tokonyane of Kisa Village.
Lore was a promising young man with a bright future ahead of him. He was known for his cheerful spirit, warm smile, and the meaningful friendships he built with those around him. His presence brought joy to many, and his memory will remain treasured in the hearts of his classmates, teachers, friends, and the wider community.
As we come to terms with this painful loss, we draw comfort from God's Word:
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." — Psalm 34:18
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." — Matthew 5:4
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain." — Revelation 21:4
In moments such as these, words often seem inadequate. Yet we are reminded that while death may separate us for a time, love and cherished memories remain forever. As one comforting quote says:
"Those we love never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they shared, the lives they touched, and the memories they created."
And another reminds us:
"Grief is the price we pay for love, and the depth of our sorrow reflects the depth of our affection."
The Tsabong Unified Secondary School community therefore invites parents, guardians, students, alumni, friends, and members of the public to join us for a Memorial Service in honor and celebration of the life of Lore Tokonyane.
Venue: Tsabong Unified Secondary School
Date: Today
Time: 1430 Hours
Let us come together in unity to support one another, honor the life of our beloved student, and offer our condolences to the Tokonyane family during this difficult time.
May God grant comfort, strength, and peace to all who mourn.
"The memory of the righteous is a blessing." — Proverbs 10:7
Rest in eternal peace, Lore Tokonyane. Your life touched many hearts, and your memory will forever remain part of the Tsabong Unified Secondary School family.
"Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts."

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY
From the Tsabong Unified Secondary School Community, we extend our heartfelt love and appreciation to all female teachers, mothers, guardians and every woman in our society — locally, nationally and internationally.
A mother is a pillar of strength, a nurturer, a counselor, a teacher and a source of unconditional love. Through sacrifice, patience, wisdom and care, mothers shape homes, communities and the future generation. Your impact is beyond measure and your love continues to inspire many lives every day.
As a school community, we honor and celebrate you today. May the Almighty God strengthen you, uplift you and reward your labor of love. May He bless the work of your hands, grant you good health, peace, favor and endless joy in all that you do.
Above all, continue to put God first in everything, for with Him all things are possible. May His grace guide your hearts, homes and families always.
Happy Mother’s Day to all our phenomenal women!
