Yesterday, the Ambrose community gathered for Dr. Ken Draper’s final public lecture, Reflections of Alliance History & Thought 🎓
Drawing from the life and journey of A.B. Simpson, Dr. Draper reflected on three enduring themes that continue to shape the Alliance movement today: Jesus, Unity, and Mission.
Through stories of A.B. Simpson and his deep, transformative faith — from a reverence for his father’s belief, to finding Jesus at just 15 years old, against all odds in the 1840s — we were reminded of the calling that unites us as followers of Jesus; to know Him deeply, love one another faithfully, and serve the world courageously 💛💛
The afternoon concluded with a special moment as Dr. Bryce Ashlin-Mayo unveiled the busts of A.W. Tozer and A.B. Simpson, which will now permanently reside in the Ambrose Library as a lasting tribute to the giants of our faith and heritage. 👉🏼
Thank you Dr. Draper, for your years of faithful scholarship, teaching, leadership, and service. Your impact on Ambrose and the broader Alliance community will be felt for generations to come.
