It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to give back to the community while gaining hands-on experience and helping promote wellness, relaxation, and self-care among frontline staff.

Our Education Assistant students focused on building essential skills in communication, active listening, collaboration, cultural awareness, and inclusivity. Through interactive activities, guided discussions, and presentations, students explored how positive interpersonal relationships help create supportive and engaging learning environments.

By reflecting on real-life experiences and developing inclusive learning activities, students gained valuable insights into supporting diverse learners and fostering meaningful connections in educational settings.

As part of celebrating Nurses Week, we were honored to give back to the dedicated nurses, health care aides, and support staff at AgeCare McKenzie by providing complimentary chair massages through our Massage Therapy students.

This outreach opportunity allowed our students to gain valuable hands-on experience while showing appreciation for the healthcare professionals who work tirelessly to care for residents and support their families every day.

We are proud to celebrate Joan's success as she begins her career as an Educational Assistant at Crystal Park School under the Grande Prairie Public School Division.

As a mother of three, Joan pursued her education with the goal of creating a better future for her family while remaining present for her children every day. Through determination, hard work, and the support she received at ABHI, she successfully completed her practicum and secured employment in her chosen field.

Joan's journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, dedication, and lifelong learning. We are honored to have been part of her educational journey and look forward to seeing all that she accomplishes in her career.
