A Magical Moment at Manor Montessori South Campus

Our students have been patiently watching, wondering, and learning as our classroom caterpillars transformed into beautiful butterflies. From observing the life cycle to caring for our tiny visitors, this has been a wonderful hands-on exploration of nature, growth, and change. 🌱✨

Is it really almost the end of the school year? 🌟

At our South Campus, we’re celebrating a special milestone as a few of our Casa students prepare to graduate and take their next big step into Elementary.

We are so proud of all they have accomplished and can't wait to see where their Montessori journey takes them next. Congratulations, graduates! 🎓✨

🔬🧪 What an incredible Science Fair!

Yesterday, our Elementary students proudly shared their research and discoveries with families, classmates, and staff. From kimchi fermentation and crystal formation to static electricity, soil types for growing plants, friction on different surfaces, and even how our eyes flip images, the range of projects was impressive!

More importantly, students demonstrated curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, and confidence as they presented their findings and answered questions from visitors.

A huge congratulations to all of our Elementary students for their hard work and enthusiasm. We are so proud of your efforts and the wonderful learning you showcased!

Way to go, Elementary! 👏✨

🌱 Growing more than just vegetables at DeSavery! 🌱

Our students have been busy in the garden, planting, watering, observing, and caring for living things. Through hands-on experiences, they are learning where food comes from, developing responsibility, and building a deeper connection to the natural world.

From tiny seeds to thriving plants, every step offers opportunities for discovery, patience, and wonder. We can't wait to see what our garden grows this season!

"In the garden, children experience firsthand the interconnectedness of life and the rewards of caring for their environment." 🌿

Our Elementary students had a fantastic day yesterday, exploring Kew Gardens with the Toronto Nature School! 🌿🧭

Through an exciting orienteering program, students learned map reading and compass skills while exploring the gardens and discovering the plants and animals that call the area home. From navigating trails to observing nature up close, it was a fun-filled day of teamwork, curiosity, and outdoor learning.

Hands-on experiences like these help bring learning to life! 🍃

What a surprise!

After grabbing coffee across the street, some Toronto firefighters stopped by Manor Montessori to say hello to our students. The children were thrilled to meet these everyday heroes, ask questions, and get an up-close look at the fire truck.

Thank you to our local firefighters for making our day a little more exciting and creating such special memories for our students!

Today some of our Casa students visited a local plant shop and carefully picked out beautiful plants for our school gardens. 🌿

Back at school, they planted everything together with so much focus and pride—digging, placing, and watering each one with care.

Our gardens are looking more beautiful already 🌱

Update from Ms. Jessica’s Casa Classroom!

Our little chicks are growing up so quickly! They are now starting to develop their adult feathers, and it’s amazing to see how much they’ve changed in just a short time.

The children have been observing them daily—watching carefully as they eat, move, and now begin this exciting stage of transformation. It has been a beautiful hands-on lesson in growth, life cycles, and care for living things.

We are so grateful for this special experience in the classroom. More updates to come as our chicks continue to grow!

Bonjour from Manor Montessori!

French learning begins at 2.5 years old at Manor Montessori through stories, songs, conversation, and movement with our in-house French teachers — helping students build confidence and a love of language learning from an early age.

Casa students enjoy small group lessons three times a week, while elementary students receive daily instruction and can even join French drama club activities.

Our graduates leave with a love of French and feeling well prepared for future French studies ✨
