Arthur Kanagwa is a Senior Talent Acquisition Associate at Waterford Global Inc., where executive search is not a transaction, it is a strategy.
He works closely with organizations to identify and attract top leadership talent. Market intelligence, data-driven insight, and relationship building all come together in his work to support long-term organizational growth.
A graduate of the University of Winnipeg with a degree in Economics, Arthur brings an analytical mind and a connectorโs instinct to everything he touches.
Strategy plus people equals impact. That is the equation Arthur lives by.
Beyond the boardroom, he is building something just as important: community. Leadership, networking, and meaningful connection drive him as much as any KPI.
On June 20, he joins us to talk about how hiring really works in Canada, from someone who sits on the inside of executive search every day.

Our second panelist, Dr. Odiri Ajakpovi, has lived, studied, and worked in Nigeria, Norway, the United Kingdom, and Canada. He has built his network from scratch in new countries, navigated different cultures and workplaces, and found his footing every single time. Today, he leads Talent Acquisition at RRC Polytech.
On June 20, he is bringing everything he learned along the way into the room with you.
Odiri knows what hiring managers actually look for. He knows what the process feels like from both sides of the table. And he believes, deeply, that everyone deserves a fair chance to be seen, valued, and allowed to thrive.
That belief is not a talking point. It is his lived experience.
Come hear it for yourself.

The resume didnโt get you the job..
It got you the screening call. What comes next is a different game.
And most students from Black, Indigenous, and racialized communities are playing it without ever being told the rules.
That changes Saturday.

Today is Red Dress Day. May 5.
On this day, we honour the lives of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People across Canada and to recommit to the work of justice.
Red Dress Day began with the REDress Project, created by Mรฉtis artist Jaime Black in 2010. Red dresses are hung in trees, draped from windows, worn as earrings each empty dress a powerful visual reminder of a life that should still be present.
Between 2009 and 2021, the rate of homicide against Indigenous women and girls was six times higher than the rate for non-Indigenous women and girls. The red dress represents both vitality and violence and the lifeblood that connects all of us.
At Student Catalyst Gateway, we believe equitable futures are impossible without safety, dignity, and belonging for Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit people. Today we pause. We remember. We listen. And we recommit.
Wear red. Attend a local vigil. Amplify Indigenous voices with consent. And write to your elected officials demanding full implementation of the 231 Calls for Justice.
Today and every day say their names.
