The Happy Baby Journey with Regina Hi, I'm Regina Israeli, a proud mother of three and a child development expert since 2012. Creating the right developmental environment is one of the most important things we can do for our babies.
And sometimes, the best choice is actually the simpler one.

In Stage 4 of The Happy Baby Journey, I help parents understand how everyday choices at home can support movement, focus, communication, independence, and healthy development.

Because development doesn't happen during practice sessions alone.
It happens in the environment we create every day.
💬 I would love to here your answer in the comments. Which floor mat would you choose?

One of the most common questions I get is:Should I walk my baby by holding their hands?"
My answer is usually no.

Because when we walk babies who are not ready to walk independently, we interfere with the natural process of learning balance, coordination, and motor planning.

Walking is the result of many skills developing together, not something we can teach by practicing the final step.

Sometimes the most helpful thing we can do is provide a safe environment, step back, and trust our baby's development.

💬 Have you ever walked your baby this way? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Does your baby feel comfortable developing on their tummy?

Many parents think that helping a baby develop on their tummy starts when they place them on their tummy.
But the truth is that babies are born with the ability to develop on their tummy. They don't need to be taught how to do it, they need the right environment and opportunities for this natural ability to emerge.

Comfort on the tummy is not about forcing practice. It's about helping your baby develop the movement patterns, strength, and confidence that make tummy development feel natural.

If your baby is over 3 months old and struggles every time they are placed on their tummy, don't worry. There are gentle and effective ways to help.
And you don't have to figure it out alone.

In Stage 4 of The Happy Baby Journey, I help parents better understand their baby's development, create the right developmental environment, and gain the confidence to support their baby's next steps.

Because every baby deserves the opportunity to develop with confidence.

Most people think eye contact is a small thing.
It’s not. It’s the start of every relationship.

We start practicing it with our babies…
but somewhere along the way, many of us stop really seeing each other.

When was the last time you had real eye contact
with your partner?
With your child?
Not while talking.
Just looking. Being there.

In the video, 5 simple tips to help your baby build this skill from the very beginning.

💬 Tell me in the comments:
Is eye contact easy for you, or not?

When does communication with your baby really begin?
We saw different answers and they’re all valid.

But here’s what most parents don’t realize:
connection isn’t something that just happens… it’s something you can learn.

Inside The Happy Baby Journey, I teach you exactly how to understand your baby and feel confident from the start.

Yes… I can already hear the “put socks on!!” comments 😅

But here’s the thing:
Kids don’t get sick from cold feet.
They get sick from viruses.
When a child is dressed well overall,
their body knows how to regulate temperature just fine.

What does matter?
Letting them move, explore, and feel the world through their feet.
That’s how balance, coordination, and confidence are built.

So no, this isn’t neglect!
It’s actually supporting development

If this challenges something you’ve always thought, you’re not alone!

What do you see here?

A mess?
Or a child learning?

Because this moment has:
✔️ Focus
✔️ Problem-solving
✔️ Motor development
✔️ Persistence

Would you stop him… or let him continue?

Watch closely:
No rushing.
No fixing.
No moving the target.

Just a parent who believes… and a baby who learns.
In this video, the baby practices:
- focus
- motor planning
- persistence
- self-belief

When we don’t interfere, we give our babies the chance to discover what they’re capable of.
Next time your baby struggles, pause before you help.
