Huge congratulations are in order for DGS's very own Breanni Winston, who captured 1st Place at the Dominica Bar Association 2026 Inter-Secondary School Public Speaking Competition! 🥇✨

The highly competitive event took place yesterday, Tuesday May 26, at the Prevo Cinemall, where some of the island's brightest young minds took the stage. Students went head-to-head debating the thought-provoking topic: “Mother has, Father has, God Bless the child who has his own” – Is Generational Wealth Building a Legacy or a Sense of Entitlement?

Breanni delivered an outstanding, powerful performance to take home the crown! We also want to congratulate Portsmouth Secondary School for securing 2nd place and the Arthur Waldron SDA Academy for taking 3rd place.

Breanni, the entire school and nation are incredibly proud of your brilliance, eloquence and dedication. Keep shining bright, and may you continue in this path of absolute excellence!

Our International Day of the Boy Child celebrations kicked off with a powerful and inspiring special assembly. A massive shoutout to the male teachers of the Dominica Grammar School, who stepped up, took the lead and organized this incredible event for our boys. Seeing our male educators unite to guide and uplift the next generation of men was truly impactful! 🙌
