💗 Sweet Valentine Heart Course 💗⁠

This September, will be teaching our Sweet Valentine Heart design, a faithful interpretation of an exquisite early-18th century embroidered Valentine, originating from a suite of needlework produced by London Quaker Elizabeth Hall.⁠

This beautiful design explores the delicate art of silk shading, often referred to as “painting with thread”, and combines it with satin stitch, French knots, stem stitch, couching and speckling to capture the finest of detail and texture.⁠

The Glamis Lamb 🐑⁠

Designed as part of a new series of beginner-friendly projects inspired by Lady Helen Middleton's historic hangings at Glamis Castle, it's a wonderful introduction to crewelwork and a relaxing summer stitching project.⁠
