Internal Curriculum Validation Workshop Held at CPU Business and Information Technology College

CPU Business and Information Technology College successfully conducted an internal curriculum validation workshop on December 27, 2025. The workshop focused on reviewing and improving undergraduate and postgraduate programs' curricula.

The reviewers came from diverse disciplines. They evaluated the updated curricula review, which covered three postgraduate and four undergraduate programs: Master of Business Administration (MBA), MA in Project Management, MSc in Software Engineering, BA in Accounting and Finance, BA in Marketing Management, BA in Business Management, and BSc in Computer Science.

The workshop included in-depth discussions among external reviewers, academic leaders, and expert reviewers. The aim was to strengthen the quality and relevance of academic programs. The event was conducted in line with ETA reregistration requirements. Deliberations focused on integrating emerging global issues, regulatory requirements (MoE, ETA), and alignment with national standards, industry needs, and institutional goals.

The College extends its sincere appreciation to the Academic Vice President, Heads of Departments, reviewers, and all participants for their valuable contributions and commitment to academic excellence.

CPU College Celebrated Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW).
The celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) was designed to raise awareness of entrepreneurship and its role in employability, as well as to enhance skills and foster new business ideas. It was attended by invited guests from regulatory bodies, partners, students, staff and CPU College Community. The GEW showcases the innovative spirit of our students and the vital role of entrepreneurship in shaping our future. The celebration took place on November 18, 2025, to raise awareness about the impact of entrepreneurship on employability and skill enhancement, as well as to foster new business ideas. Attendees had the chance to share experiences and insights from established entrepreneurs, inspiring fellow students and the college community.
TVET trainees had the opportunity to showcase their products and business ideas, which inspired them to view entrepreneurship as a viable career path.
The College's commitment to investing in enhancing entrepreneurial culture with a view to addressing national challenges relating to youth unemployment, unethical business practices, and poverty, among others. The celebration of this global event will continue as part of the institutional culture, with broader participation and involvement from the college community.

Unforgettable moments at our staff get-together!
The annual CPU College staff get-together was held at the main campus compound on November 16, 2025, organized by the College. Staff motivation is key to boosting morale and confidence; it shows that you appreciate the work they do at different levels. It also helps improve performance and patient satisfaction.
The event served as a platform for team bonding, celebrating achievements, and fostering a spirit of collaboration and motivation among the staff.
I am extremely happy to have such staff! Thank you very much to the organizing committee and many organizations that have sponsored the Kegna Brewery factory! Finally,the staff get-together gave us an opportunity to get to know each other better.

A Vibrant Start to a New Chapter! | Orientation 2025 – CPU Business and Information Technology College.
What an inspiring day it was! On 12th November 2025, we warmly welcomed its newest batch of students to embark on their academic journey!🎓💙 The College continues to offer some of the most promising and future-oriented academic programs for 12th grade — equipping them with the knowledge and skills to build successful and impactful careers in the ever-changing fields of Business and IT.
The orientation program was filled with energy, motivation, and purpose — as our esteemed management members and academic community shared their wisdom, guidance, and encouragement to help students take their first steps into the HEI’s environment. The program also covered essential College rules and regulations, academic requirements, available student support services, and the appropriate contacts for both academic and administrative support.
Moreover, the orientation program provides detailed explanations on the proper use of libraries and laboratories, along with guidelines for effective collaboration with instructors to ensure the successful completion of their programs.
The session concluded with formal introductions to the President, Vice Presidents, TVET Dean, Department Heads, administrative teams, and class coordinators — ensuring that students know where to go next time.

CPU Business and Information Technology College signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the FDRE Technical and Vocational Training Institute (FTVTI)

CPU College has proudly signed an MoU with FTVTI, establishing a collaborative framework for training, capacity building, academic and joint academic and research conferences. The partnership particularly focuses on promoting safer internet practices and responsible use of AI and emerging technologies.

The agreement opens doors for extensive partnership, including staff development programs, ‘Training of Trainers’ initiatives, and strengthened research industry linkages. Both institutions will also engage in joint research projects in key initiatives such as “Safer Internet: Smart Tech, Safe Choices – Exploring the Safe and Responsible Use of AI.”

During the signing, Dr. Biruk Kedir, General Director of FTVTI, emphasized that the partnership’s role will begin with organizing a campaign for Safer Internet Day 2026, which will be celebrated globally on 10th February 2026, under the global slogan of “Together for a Better Internet.”

It was a fruitful discussion, and both parties agreed to establish an action plan implementation committee within the coming few days, comprising members from each institution to oversee the ex*****on of the partnership’s objectives.
