​We were incredibly honoured to perform and participate in the "Light of Hope for Apeksha" charity event, organized by the Sri Lanka Leukaemia Foundation UK🇱🇰 🇬🇧 . It was a beautiful experience bringing our dance to a cause that provides vital care and early diagnosis for cancer patients in Sri Lanka.
​A special thank you to the organizers for putting together such a meaningful day, and to everyone who came out to support this life-saving cause.

This week, we were truly honoured and grateful to be part of the meaningful event Light of Hope for Apeksha 💛
Our heartfelt thanks to the Sri Lanka Leukaemia Foundation UK , President Jerome Adams , and the entire organising team for inviting the Mathra team to take part in such a beautiful cause. It was also a great honour to perform in front of the Ambassador of the High Commission of Sri Lanka, London and to be part of this special event held at Maneke - Sri Lankan Restaurant 🇱🇰🇬🇧✨

We were delighted to support this wonderful fundraising event through our cultural performances and are proud to stand together as one community, bringing hope, love, and support to cancer patients in Sri Lanka 🙏

A Calling to Our Sri Lankan Community in the UK

In this beautiful month of compassion and enlightenment, we warmly invite you to join the Sri Lanka Leukaemia Foundation UK —a registered UK charity—for a special community luncheon and a day of togetherness: "Light of Hope for Apeksha".

We are gathering to raise vital awareness and funds to procure a much-needed Ultrasound Scanner for the Apeksha Cancer Hospital in Sri Lanka. The hospital's current scanner is now 8 years old and urgently needs replacing.

SLLF UK has stepped forward to fund this project, but we cannot do it without the generous hearts of Sri Lankans living here in the UK.

By joining us, your support will directly fund this new scanner, which will be instrumental in:
✨ Providing early and accurate diagnoses.
✨ Guiding life-saving medical procedures.
✨ Closely monitoring the progress of treatments.
✨ Crucially reducing waiting times for patients who are already in pain.

Please do come together to provide hope and vital care for cancer patients back home. Enjoy a wonderful community lunch whilst making a life-saving difference!
