Comfort Crusade: Protecting Female Riders from Saddle Soreness

The International Academy of Saddle Fitters and director Lisa Fay invite you to a webinar with Mary Midkiff to discuss the unspoken issues of female rider pain and discomfort in the saddle. Many mainstream saddle makers have decided to continue with their traditional tools and products instead of making changes for the predominant rider of today; girls and women.
We will discuss chaffing, rubbing, swelling, blisters and sores and bleeding caused from the saddle; why this has been going on for many, many years (decades, centuries!); why there has been no change or allowance for the female pelvic structure and what can be done about it!

March 2, 2024 was a big day at the National Equine Show in Birmingham, UK!! I worked at the International Academy of Saddle Fitters stall all day balancing female riders in the saddle. What a difference knowing the right steps to take to find your own aligned position for safety, effectiveness and balance in your riding!

Had a great day with the saddle fitters from International Academy of Saddle Fitters at the National Equine Show in Birmingham, UK March2! I met women aged in their 20s to 70s seeking balanced riding information for the female equestrian. Women became aware of what is possible in their bodies and how to find neutral pelvis position which will provide them with safety, effectiveness and balance along with the proper saddle fit to support their female anatomy. Women should not hurt or suffer when they ride, this is unnecessary when a supportive saddle and an aligned body sets you up to succeed.
