The first image, edited and enhanced with the foundational skills I've taught her, shows how far she's come! The second image captures her initial attempt, where she explored the basics on her own.
I'm thrilled to witness her growth and excited to see her apply these skills to create even more beautiful art. Her dedication to learning and improving is truly inspiring! 🌟👩🎨

🎨📐 Mastering Composition in Year 6 Art Classes! 🖊️👀
This week in our observational pencil sketching session, Year 6 young artist is diving deep into understanding and using 3 different compositional techniques.
Composition is key to creating balanced and engaging artworks, and our students are exploring these methods with their sketches.
1️⃣ Triangle Composition: This approach uses triangular shapes to create focus and stability in artwork, guiding the viewer’s eye to the key elements.
2️⃣ C Composition: Characterized by a curved structure, this composition encourages the viewer's eye to move smoothly across the artwork, creating a dynamic yet cohesive look.
3️⃣ S Composition: This elegant composition uses an S-curve to lead the viewer’s gaze through the art, adding a flowing, rhythmic movement to the piece.
Swipe to see how the Year 6 young artist - Sara has creatively incorporated these techniques into her sketch. It’s inspiring to see her growth and how she apply what she learn to see the world like true artists!

Over the past two weeks, our 6-7 young artists have been learning how to experiment with color and create their own Fauvist masterpieces, featuring their pets dressed as humans! 🖌️🎨
In these sessions, we’ve been discussing how Fauvism broke away from traditional color use inspired by Henri Matisse’s paintings, allowing emotions to guide the paintbrush. The kids love the freedom to express themselves through exaggerated hues and dynamic compositions!
