Hazlemere Church of England School

Our School Council have been to inspect the renovation work in the school toilets today. The school council were responsible for choosing the flooring and new sink designs and were very impressed with what has been achieved so far. 💪

Lots of fun on residential as a well-deserved reward for our Year 6s! Some quick photos of activities...plus..to our astonishment, a photo of how 2 boys neatly unpacked their belongings! Parents take note, as we've told them they should also be doing this at home 😉

They have eaten us out of house and home this week; but really we couldn't be any prouder of our Year 6 class. Their whole primary school journey is worth far more than the exams they have persevered with this week. Now time for residential!

This week Rosie and Hazel in Year 1 earned their Respect Badges for telling the whole school about British Values and the Protected Characteristics! Elaina, Mal, Aadam and Cora earned thei Junior Duke's badges and a host of other children celbrated their achievements with a certificate!

Today we opened our Summer Reading Garden, a nice place to sit in the sun or shade and quietly read on your own, with a friend or a Y6 Buddy Reader. Thank you to the The Friends of Hazlemere C of E School for supporting us and also to Mrs Haig for the beautiful plants and flowers.

More amazing children reaching for the stars last week, including 3 more children who have achieved their JD award! Joshua achieved his Gold Mini Duke, James achieved his Bronze Junior Duke and Lucas achieved his Silver Junior Duke

Look at those smiles 🥹. Honestly it fills our hearts seeing how happy our children are to come to school each day. Here are some pics of Year 6's Design Technology work, working incredibly well together to produce an amazing menu. Just one of the highlights of last half term!

Well done Rémy! You are the first Year 6 to achieve the Platinum Junior Duke award! Along the way he cooked a delicious family meal of spicy noodles (verified by Mr Daniels 😋), completed a lot of physical exercise, performed drama and helped with chores and house work, just some of the challenges along the way!
