Everyone needs time & space to heal.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍💖💗
It feels hard to give ourselves time because we are aware young people depend on us. BUT. take your time, take 👶🏻 steps 🦶to every moment. Just know, you’re an ❤️‍🩹

For a teacher, for a student, for parents, school years are a with a constant run for children. A teacher will be the first to tell your her/his class is their 1st priority. For them to ✨

it or not, teachers get burnt🔥 out and too. We owe ourselves to take a step back. You can’t help your students when you haven’t helped yourself.

We wake up everyday, and take that run 🏃‍♂️ for our students, having worked hard the evening before. Before you know it The time for ourselves becomes minimised.

Things happen during the school day,
- we ,
- we quickly turn to plan B
- we make
🔺🔺🔺
But… won’t we don’t do is give ourselves time to from it, big or small.
Sometimes, we go through our days at work when something and overwhelming is happening behind the scenes, in our lives.

Allow yourself to stop, process and reflect on your - YOU ARE HUMAN BEFORE YOU ARE A TEACHER 👩‍🏫

Everyone works different - do what you enjoy > 🎨 draw ✍🏼 🛍 🏊‍♀️ sleeping 😴 eating 🍽 your 😍 meal. Small things matter!!!

The ultimate jar 🏺
I used to do this tonnes for my self, as a student, during my ’s, A level, and period.

Myself, In everything I do I try and be a - I used to feel bothered if not, now I just let it be, go with the flow ~ not everyone is perfect, not me, not you. Slow down. when it all gets tough don’t give up, just learn to give yourself time. Don’t be to hard on yourself💜

It’s for anyone, you don’t have to be a student. Being human is enough with all those . Great for those struggling with

‘Bottle it up’ is what so many of us do. Put your feelings, thoughts 💭, dreams, worries, into your self love ❤️ jar with a possible solution, go about to achieve it. Once you have, which you will & can, remove it and let it go.

The smallest things we do for ourselves can have the biggest, impacts. Remember, to put your self first. It’s not it’s important & it’s

Self love is not just a luxury it’s a necessity, for you to make healthy choices! ❤️❤️❤️

Keeping up with 💪🏼 Understood & understand.
~ Be ready, be open, to hear 👂🏼 their secrets…
Every classroom has its . Teachers do, you do, students do, I do. Doubts, and big . Quiet. .

Students desire to be heard, yes 🙌🏽 even those who are shy ☺️ and held-back. speaks. You get those bunch who will raise their hands ✋🏼 before the question 🙋‍♀️ is even asked. But.. you get those who are quietly thinking 💭 but their won’t let them speak 🗣 out loud.

A variety. - words, , and SILENCE - Don’t brush those children 👧🏻 away. They know it, help them bring it to light 💡

Be a guide. If we ignore these conversations to be had, they grow as a huge barrier to , learning curves and great !! They will never just creep away on their own.

How often do you as a teacher feel slightly that a particular child is not showing interest, not participating in your class discussions? There’s more to the surface. Always is.

Their minds are full of , , questions, , concepts. Their brains 🧠 are challenging them, it’s not always easy to raise a hand when you’re sat between 30 others. Young or not.

Listen 👂🏼 💜

. How the last few months have been & what they’ve made me. One word - summarises it all. Teachers don’t stop doing what you do!! You’re amazing. ❤️

Constantly pushing for and , battling between the two, has been so , looking forward to the 🎄 break! 😩

I have been so inactive on my social media, because I decided to take a step back, and solely 🧘‍♀️ on my . 💜 I am back & will hopefully be more active than I have been over the last of .

Felt that was the decision for my self to return to work work even harder, smarter. 👏🏽

on yourself and you’ll see how the rest falls into place. Better yourself and you’ll see how the follows. ✨

Hectic! To be more precise, awoke @5:40, travel start at 6:40, at work @8:00, start @9:00

Yes. Friday 3rd September 2021, I went back to my educational ❤️ After whole 6️⃣ weeks of not teaching, and months of online learning it feels hard to get back into it again in person.

New year, new class, new goals. This year, im 🤩 to say, I am a year 1 teacher! Specifically working with these tiny beings. As previously mentioned, this is my place to be. Pure and 🥰

Some new & some have left, change is already a factor. Two things to take away from today’s welcome 🙏 back teacher’s session >

- > no two days are the same, everyday comes with new ideas 💡 changes, twists & turns. It comes with and pressure, and it’s about allowing your self to stop ✋🏼 in order to regain energy to go back and do bigger and better 💪🏼
- self care > so important for us teachers, allow your self some time, give your self your personal space & do the things which make you happy & ! Think 💭 about what you feel & what you need. Make it about YOU and what you .

Again, resilience. This word, carry it with you this school year. It takes time, but it’s amazing in the sense it helps develop POSITIVE behaviour & actions. Allow yourself to 🧘‍♀️ on connecting, , thoughts & the real meaning.

> wellness🤍 (body care, mindfulness & avoid negativity)
> purpose🤍 (self , step towards your , help others around you)
> healthy thoughts🤍 (be , accept change, learn from mistakes)

Whew! It is a long term ahead! BUT YOU CAN DO THIS 💜

You are a little darker..
Why are you ?
Why are you not like us?

as much as its been tackled it still does exist within the sector. Sometimes implicit and sometimes explicit. It’s important to recognise it lingers.

Racial comments have been embedded into society, and were once acceptable to be heard. We need our students to know they come to school to learn, to have fun build on a foundation and leave with a strong 💪🏼 education NOT to pick at colour. 🎨

Racial groups can be based on physical, behavioural, ethnicity, & shared language. I believe happiness in a classroom can most certainly come with 🤍 You’re a little , more , have freckles, speak 🗣 different 2 different . So guess what? Know that makes you !

There. Are. Different. Levels. Of. Racism.
~Internalised(within the individual)= beliefs about superiority & influenced by culture. 🌿
~Interpersonal(between individuals)= Personal beliefs affect interactions when in public. 💁
~Institutional(systematic)= Schools & workplace , advantages for a certain race. 📍
~Structural(society)= ideology, , & history.

Unequal opportunities & harsh inequalities are barriers to a way a child 🧒🏼 perceives their education. should be taught right from day one ☝🏼 their academic success is based on their hardwork, & NOT by all those racial factors. At school 🏫 teachers, this is our job. At home 🏡 parents, this is yours! It never has to be something which is spoken about everyday, but has to be once for sure!

Right… so how can racism be tackled at school?
> Explicit lesson on race & conflict
> Awareness of racial bias
> Self
> Professional

Say NO to racism. Its not our differences which divide us but our inability to recognise, accept and 🎉 those differences! _ Audre Lorde.

As getting through my academic years, being a and a I’ll be passing on study| tips 🤍

The way we ✨s t u d y✨ is important whether it’s for an , coursework or an .

It’s essential figure out the way they prefer to study, and which approach helps them . Study methods can always be to fit individual needs.

Developing great, 💪🏼 study methods and learning strategies is a for and set at a high standard! Its not to forget this can keep , stability & self esteem flowing 〰

When one ☝🏼 method does not work for you, do not give up & away instead try another, there’s something for everyone even if it’s something no one has done ✅ before .

Every student 👩🏼‍🎓 is , has a different , a way of 💭 and analysing hence, learning approach is too, and REMEMBER this is okay. Allow your self to this & do what is easiest for YOU. ❤️

Above 👆 are the 10 StudyHabits which helped me.

Do they know you?
My last post was about how students should be known. Don’t forget should be too! Students should learn about the human who prepares their weekly , works on late night powerpoints, does everything in their power and beyond to make the . ✨

First session or just to get them curious! your lesson where you have them 💭 & .

Pop yourself on the middle of the page > base the questions where they can be answered using number applications > for example - adding, subtracting, dividing and multiplying. ➕

Through this activity they’ll put their math skills to the test and also learn something new about you at the same time! Interest your students, keep them & guessing. 🤔

~~ Remember them learning about you is not on the curriculum, but MATHS is so allow the learning to be unique but still supporting their academic .

Even > time them. Let’s see who is the first person in your class to figure you out! 🕚 SKILLS IN THIS ACTIVITY _ independence, thinking, critical, & problem solving.

✨ TEACHERS _ HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN ONE WORD? > COMMENT ✨

What makes a ‘good’ teacher? - There can never be one singular answer.
How do you define your teachers?
~~~ My teacher is… ~~~
🤍Is your teacher 👩‍🏫 the one who gives you a warm welcome every and energetic at the end of the day?
🤍Is your teacher 👨‍🏫 the one who listens to all of your , tackles them with solutions and tells you it’s all going to be okay?
🤍Is your teacher 🧑‍🏫 the one who throws a joke in every just to see that beaming 😊 across your face?
🤍Is your teacher 👩‍🏫 the one who is , considerate, and in every way you can name?
❤️Is your teacher, your , your , your motivator, and just simply the !!❤️
💜 Every , is unique with his/her own characteristics, and some of us become a child’s ! Next time you’re in class ask your students how they would describe you in one word! 💜
I have been away since June. It’s been 2️⃣months. Oh how time just flies! 😮
Admist all the constant running 🏃‍♀️ for those big, long term goals & weekly progress it was time to take a break, to step back, to 🧘‍♀️ to .
Having a planned does not mean getting there in one ☝🏼 stretch. Take some time out, get that air 💨which you 💯% need, focus on your self and return recharged! 🔋
degrees 🎓, sixth form and a levels, 5-7 at work 💪🏼, working hard for that apprenticeship 💸, , caring, whatever you are out there doing, REMEMBER - an empty lantern provides no light 💡 self care is the fuel ⛽️ to allow your light to ✨ brightly!
I felt I was giving more to my content and less to myself. Self care is , and self care is not selfish, never is. 💜 & DO NOT let anyone tell you otherwise.
When you begin to feel that way, trust your self, your feeling & your heart 🫀. You need to be YOU in order to give back, give your all and be your best. You can’t be that YOU feeling drained!! 😓
The next two months have alot coming for me, as i’m sure for others too, in their own ways. Hence, content wise i’ll be around 1/twice a week max. ✅
My DMS are always open for parents, students, and teachers - everyone. Thank you ❤️
DON’T FORGET TO CHECK IN ON YOURSELF!! 💕🙌🏽
‘Love is Kind’
No one ever ❌deserves no matter the situation. No one ever deserves the pain 😓. No one ever deserves to 😭 because of it. No one ever deserves to feel . 😰
Ever wondered how many are abused😢? Ever wondered how many young souls are hurt? Ever wondered how many are silenced? Every child 🧒🏼 deserves , affection, attention, and a means to 😊. Most importantly every child deserves to feel . 🥰
Such abuse can have long life, traumatic effects. Effecting a child’s potential in education too! As parents and teachers 👩‍🏫 we should be able to recognise this. Sadly, sometimes when it comes from parents, teachers 👨‍🏫 we should be able stand against this too. Life, for everyone, child or adult should be abuse F R E E. ~~~
! REMEMBER / Abuse doesn’t have to be physical, it can be & psychological / damage is done. 💔
Children should be taught they are worthy ✨of being treated with kindness and so much more. Children should be taught to put themselves & their first.
EMPOWER YOUR CHILDREN / teach them to be kind to themselves, create boundaries where they are protected. 🤍
You and others in - 🎉 getting through your struggles & achieving . Recognise it is your right to feel happy. HAVE A VOICE. 🎤 Teach your kids not never silence themselves out of fear or shame!!! 👑
HAPPY NATIONAL LOVE ❤️ IS KIND DAY. It really is when we stand together
