What a world wind the last 2 years have been. Last night my story was shared publicly to encourage others that there is always hope regardless of the circumstances you may find yourself.

My mission is simple, to help others realise their potential and walk into their purpose.

The biggest lesson I have learnt is that resilience is a trait hard earned. You are stronger than you know, and I wouldn't be here without the wonderful doctors and nurses from the cancer centre and the support of my family and friends. My faith has played a huge role in me getting througg each day and I am incredibly proud of what i have been able to achieve in the last 18 months.

From struggling to speak to being invited to give talks on clarity, confidence and inner strength.

With a special mention to for their support groups, for their life coaching and alternative therapies, for making life that little bit better during and post treatment and for hosting so many of these charities at the Belfast Cancer Center.

Six months after losing her mother unexpectedly, Michelle Jones was sitting in a consultant’s room being told that she had cancer. The news came quickly, clinically and with urgency.

“The consultant told me they had to move fast,” she recalls. “The tumour had grown to the size of a potato in my throat.”

What followed was a diagnosis of a rare cancer, a tumour in her right tonsil, one of around 360 head and neck cases diagnosed each year across Northern Ireland. Life, already heavy with grief, shifted overnight into something else entirely: survival.
