Ancient Egypt in 4JJ! πͺπ¬π
Today we learned how the Egyptians preserved bodies by mummifying tomatoes!
We scooped them out and packed them in salt π§ to dry them out and stop them from rotting. π«π¦
Over the next few weeks, weβll watch them shrink and turn into real mummies! β³β¨

Year 5 had an amazing trip to the this week! We travelled back in time to explore the fascinating world of the Ancient Greeks, taking part in exciting workshops on Greek myths and legends and discovering incredible Ancient Greek artefacts. A fantastic day of learning, exploring and bringing history to life!
Year 5 have been exploring our Mixed Media topic in Art! π¨β¨ This week, we experimented with fabric scraps and paper making, discovering how different materials, textures and techniques can be combined to create unique pieces of artwork. We loved getting creative and learning how everyday materials can be transformed into something beautiful!
The children in Hub 1 have enjoyed our new βbeachβ role play area on International day of play! They have also used lots of recycling materials and their imagination to make lots of creations and played lots of turn taking games π©΅
Year 6 pupils (6TS and 6HC) had an EPIC adventure to Hilbre Island this week. The weather was fantastic and we visited Little Eye, Middle Eye and finally Hilbre Island! We spotted Grey Seals π¦π on the sandbank as we looked over to Walesπ΄σ §σ ’σ ·σ ¬σ ³σ Ώ. We learnt all about the telegraph towers and how messages were sent all the way from Anglesey to Liverpool. It was certainly a school trip to remember! ππ₯π―π

4LM had a fantastic day at the World Museum, we looked closely at the exhibits, took part in a wonderful workshop all about the Ancient Egyptians and ended the day with a run around in the gardens before getting the train home! A very busy, fun filled day! πποΈπ

The Wirral School Games beach rugby was a huge success yesterday with our Y5 and Y6 children. The team played a number of games across the afternoon and showcased the amazing skills and tactics theyβve learnt in PE. Well done team. π
